@Regrann from @denise13dd - In #Hohenwald, #Tennessee, a Good Samaritan spent four days trying to lure a #loyaldog from a mailbox where he was abandoned by his owner. The kind woman who had been feeding the friendly Australian pooch stated he liked other dogs and was well-behaved. If anyone thinks dogs are loyal only because they depend upon their humans to provide food and shelter, researchers profess a different scenario; that dogs are fiercely loyal because they evolved as pack animals. According to Dr. Stephen Zawistowski, former science adviser for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, once dogs move “into our homes and into our lives, our families have become their pack.” And it’s never a matter of how much we give to our #dogs – dogs are just happy to be loved, and every moment we spend with them just makes them love us more; thus we perceive dogs just as happy cuddling up to their homeless person on a street corner or living in a mansion on a king-sized bed. So how does an owner just abandon their dog along a rural road in Tennessee? We can only wish that dogs could talk and tell us their tragic plights. For this dog, however his luck has changed for 2017. #LuckyBreakPetRescue has intervened, and on New Year’s Eve announced on their Facebook page this young dog can now look forward to a better life thanks to all of the advocates who joined in and helped “This boy has rescue and transport is being worked out between the rescue and the nice lady who has been keeping him safe and fed. Thanks very much for all of your shares and tags! You have made THE difference for this abandoned boy. Those of you interested in adoption, please PM the rescue and we’ll give you the contact information.” Many thanks to everyone for starting 2017 with good news for the rescue community. Humanity and kindness often starts with one dog at a time. Be the voices for those who cannot speak. Interested in helping Lucky Break Pet Rescue? Donations can be made by clicking here.
