i'm trying to take like... baby steps, because i always get way too embarrassed to draw ship art in earnest, so using silly references it is (if anyone has good ones please send them my way)

I rewatched Kpop Demon Hunters with my friends earlier and had a thought about the au,

So building on the idea that IK has identical demon patterns to Lucifer, what if she also had his forehead diamond? And it's usually covered by her fringe + maybe it's fainter than the arm patterns in her natural state - Rumi has demon patterns on her face that only appear during the finale

So then. Lucifer finding out that IK is his daughter at the AU equivalent of the award show. Luke is lured away just before they go on stage, a demon in disguise replaces him and exposes her demon markings during the show, and then her hair gets all messed up or something and the forehead diamond is revealed. Biggest "oh fuck" moment in the world. Maybe he was suspecting it before but it only hits him now and they're already on like stage 5 of their destroy-humanity plan.

Also, unrelated but since they're always divorced in every universe: What if non-hunter Solomon being affiliated with the angels is because he's been rehabilitated after being "seduced" by a demon. Which is also why he's more accepting of IK being half-demon.

ooohhh yes....... very good..... i like it very much... shot of her half-in and half-out of the stage light with her fringe all swept to one side..... then cut to a shot of her from the right side with the diamond exposed and a red demon eye....... when lucifer shields her from the gwi-ma equivalent (which i guess would just be sonno) only the top half of her head is visible and the wind blows back her hair to reveal the mark in its entirety..... also sets up a perfect tender forehead-touching or forehead kiss moment. absolute cinema

re: the whole demon-patterns-being-exposed moment. perfect devastating moment would be ik running offstage after the secret is revealed and running into the angels. and simeon steps forward to shield luke from her. and then she like demon-teleports off somewhere just before solomon arrives, so then we get a big dramatic moment where he yells at simeon before going after her

re 2: solomon being a "rehabilitated" demon sympathiser is also veery good. presumably mephisto did what he does best and just dipped on him at some point and the whole thing was found out by the angels later, and he just went along with their whole "oh you poor thing, tricked by a demon" thing because what else is he supposed to do??

wait wait. so jinu's funny little tiger and crow right. what if a similar demonic creature of some kind (a mouse or perhaps a raccoon) shows up for ik and THAT turns out to be mephisto, who disappeared because being turned into a weird demon animal was his punishment for messing around with humans

Solomon finally mastering all of Spider Ik’s tricks (after months of “careful” testing and experiments)

Would he go show Mephisto and would he get a Spider-Man kiss?

that would be so cute yes!! but then he loses concentration and immediately falls down and hits his head - fortunately this is the kind of dynamic where one of them receiving blunt head trauma actually makes the scenario more romantic

the divorcee chronicles: part 1 of ???

this was meant to be a comic but for some reason i decided I'm going to do this ace attorney style... and then the official localisation of aai got announced so?! i'm prophetic in one way or another, is all i'm saying

I made this comic in the amazing spider-kid IK/Superhero au where Lucifer ask Mephisto for love advice, to Zhao's love and Mephisto is like:

Mephisto: Just send a gym pick if you.

Lucifer in disbelief: Excuse me?!

Mephisto not having a reaction: Yeah. Preferably where you're shirtless, and sweating.

Lucifer: Are you sure that going to work?

Mephisto: Oh! Trust me it will work.

(I'm giving you the the power to flesh out, a bit more, Mx. Creator have good day!)

sbff okay i get where you're going but mephisto is not a gym boy, he gets by on wit and cheekiness alone. if you asked him to pick up something heavy he'd immediately call alecto to do it for him

to adapt this: mephisto is at the gym as moral support for alecto (because wiz is away on business and astaroth hates the gym with a passion) and, while wandering around, sees a really fat rat. later he shows a picture of it to some guy he meets in a pet shop

solomon, who was looking for enclosures for a lab rat, is so enamoured by this that he immediately asks for his number. they don't have a talking stage so much as they have a stage where mephisto sends him progressively more alarming pictures of larger and larger rodents, until solomon has enough and asks him out for coffee

some time later, a mix of the newspaper club's satire paper accidentally veering into dangerously accurate articles + mephisto's connection with a prominent villain gets all four of them wrapped up in hero business. at this point mephisto notices the hero morningstar's behaviour and decides to help the guy out

lucifer is minding his business when one of the journalists the heroes are housing walks in, pats his back supportively, and hands him a rat. he stares at it blankly for a while and then asks him "what the fuck"

Solphisto ACTUAL marital divorce arc is the funniest thing. If you have the time could you please draw Solomon as that one shot of Peter B Parker cryinf in the shower 😭

i really like the idea of ik and solomon taking a break from the villain-hero i'm-gonna-experiment-on-you thing so that ik can help him with his broken marriage sbfbffbfj

if solomon and mephisto used to be married in the spiderkid au, who proposed 🤔

mephisto! done on a random evening after dinner, in that half-joking/ironic way that someone does when they're genuine about it but unsure of the response they might get (i.e. "haha jk....... unless?")

solomon responded in the same joking manner ("yeah that would be crazy....... or would it?"), went to work in his lab while mephisto went to bed, then burst back into the bedroom at 4am like "i've changed my mind, let's do it right now"

I was rereading and got to the scene where Solomon and Mephisto's backstory gets revealed and already having the context makes the conversation feel so much more... charged?? Like I was wondering.... how long did Solomon wait before he realised he wasn't coming back?

Also the fact that they met again eternities later and one of the first things Mephisto does is call him sexy. I don't know how Solomon coped that situationship would've had me crashing OUT

he figured that mephisto wasn't returning after he felt their pact sever, which would've been after a month or two - but it took him a good decade to give up hope entirely, given the timescale he was living on (and that he knew demons operated on) at the time

also wow yeah i don't think i even fully considered how that felt to solomon. the mephisto he met was still very much under sonno's influence (and still had long hair. not really relevant but) so he was kinda like... brooding? he'd started developing his sense of humour and was pretty bizarre but also clearly Haunted in some way

so they're companions for an indeterminate time, get close enough for mephisto to form a pact with him, and then he vanishes (shortly after beginning to open up out his past in the devildom). then theur pact BREAKS (which the demon shouldn't be able to voluntarily do) and solomon just kinda assumes he's dead or something

then they meet again and 1. his hair and eyes are washed out in colour for some reason, 2. he seems to be thriving in the devildom, and 3. he acts like they don't even know each other. solomon's internal conflict would've gone crazy
