Sam: Nolan, man, what are you doing here? I’ve told you multiple times not to show up unannounced!

Nolan: I saw that photo you posted! So you’ve chosen that bitch’s side, huh?!

Sam: Whoa! Hold up. First of all, you do NOT call my friend a bitch. I don’t care if she’s your ex, you don’t get to do things like that. Secondly, while I don’t know your side of the story, I do know that Poppy spent almost two weeks at home recovering from whatever happened between you two. So, whatever it was, was bad enough for her to lose her job over and she needs my support to get through it. I’m sorry if our innocent party photo bothered you, but god forbid you’re not invited to everything...

Nolan: *yawn* Are you done? I don’t have the patience for your bullshit right now. Poppy’s just as much to blame for all this as I am.

[A few weeks later, Poppy is celebrating the holidays with Nolan and Bax.]

Poppy: It’s too bad you could be around for Winterfest, but I’m glad you’re here for New Years! I’ll get my famous Fresh Fallen Snow cake ready right away.

Nolan: I’m excited to try it! Here, while you do that, I’ll make sure your kitty gets a snack of his own. Don’t want him feeling left out of the festivities!

Bax: *suspicious grumble*

Poppy: Watch out, Bax doesn’t like strangers very much.

Bax: *HISS*

Nolan: Ah! Bud, I’m just trying to feed you!

Poppy: See, I warned you, hahahaha. Let him be, for now. My cake is all ready!

[Poppy comes home from her first day of work to a surprise visit from Nolan.]

Nolan: Heeeey, gorgeous! I brought some bubbly to celebrate your first day~

Poppy: *sniff*

Nolan: Poppy, is everything okay?

Poppy: *sob* No! I’m so awful... I can’t do anything right.

Nolan: Oh, Poppy...You know that’s not true. What happened today?

Poppy: My boss, she just—She hates me!

[While Sam's dealing with Nolan, the others discuss the elephant in the room.]

Poppy: I’m such an idiot...How could I think it would just all go away after that kind of breakup? Stupid! Stupid...

Sully: Poppy...Look, I don’t really know what’s going on here, but I’m guessing you were dating drunken McGee out there?

Poppy:...Yep.

Sully: And it didn’t end too well, huh?

Poppy: Nope.

Sully: *sigh* Maybe I should head out and have a chat with him.

Marcia: No, Sully, don’t bother. Sam riled Nolan up by posting that picture. He would’ve had no idea we excluded him tonight if they hadn’t done that. Sam needs to handle this mess themselves.

Sully: Well... Can I just say I don’t like this?

Marcia & Poppy: Join the club!

Sully: No, I mean, I can't stand being in the dark AND not being able to do anything. You gotta give me something here.

Poppy: ...Okay, you’re right. I’ll...I’ll tell you both what really happened.

[Poppy and friends play board games when an uninvited guest arrives.]

Marcia: Hey, does anyone need their drinks refreshed while I’m up?

Sully: Nope! Just sit down so we can play another round.

Poppy: No need to rush, Sully! I need to strategize with Sam if I’m ever going to beat you...

Sam: No kidding! Hahahaha~

Sully: Ugh...Could you guys take any longer? I came here to kick butt, not talk about kicking butt!

Poppy: You see that? I think we can use his confidence against him!

Sam: Hm, you’re not wrong... Oh, by the way, did you see the pic I posted of us on Simstagram?

Marcia: Honey, I told you that wasn’t a good idea...

Sam: Come on! It’s just a harmless picture. If Nolan wants to read into it...That’s up to him, hahaha!

Marcia: Sam, I’m not joking around. You shouldn’t have done that.  I just heard a knock at the door, and I bet you can guess who it is...

Poppy: I need to document the growth cycle of this one...I’ve never seen a grey bush before!
