The Summer Solstice is for starkin a cross between memorial day and “family appreciation day” or something like that.
From sundown the day before the solstice to the sundown the day after, all starkin are required to return to the court and pay homage first to their supreme Matriarch, then to their father and mother stars and constellations, and to all those starkin who went before them. This is usually done while staying in your mother’s constellation if you are not now bound to return afterwards to one of your own.
Failure to comply to these traditions leads to serious punishment, and possible expulsion from your mother’s house (this leaves a kin unclaimed and vulnerable to further targeting).
