The Machine Vision team had a database workshop at Solstrand Hotel last week. We invited scholar Annette Markham to look over our database with fresh eyes and together we came up with a whole new approach for entering data. We are looking forward to test the database further and to see how we can work with the new data sets.

Our goal is to have a database with over 500 entries that we can present at Normedia in Malmø in August.

In our first project workshop, we brainstormed the future of machine vision and wrote fictional blurbs of and bibliographies for the books that will need to have been written for us to understand this technological shift. The next step, we decided, is a book project - with twenty authors. It was amazingly fun - thank you to all the creative researchers, artists and designers who participated!
