So one thing that I feel pleasantly surprised me in the Veilguard is the concept of Solas never possibly had a physical relationship with anyone before Lavellan. I would assume anyone who had been around that long would have explored that well before. It really only furthers him being demisexual coded, which I fully subscribe to.
Solas struggling with the physicality of his body so much that he just hasn't wanted to explore that side of himself. Lavellan comes around and actually makes him want to explore it.
I also subscribe to the idea that they never fully crossed the physical line in Inquisition because he's a consent king. He wanted her to have fully informed consent before crossing that line. He didn't want her regretting it because he fully knows what it is to struggle with that side of himself.
And then I had the realization that if Solas never was physical before and then they never fully crossed that line, he's been reading smut in his spare time not only because he misses her, but he's reading smut as research. I imagine he's read about it before but never with the concept of him wanting to perform those acts.
Once again, I'm just kicking my feet and twirling my hair over this goofball.
