[ The odds were slim -- that he'd ever by chance run into the woman, Kate, again. He had promised to take her to lunch if he ever did...but, this was a large city.

The smell of exhaust fumes and sweat covered most everything else. He could not track her down even if he wanted to. So, you can imagine his surprise when he steps into a restaurant, one that he hardly ever noticed, and sees her standing by a table --- ]

"Miss Kate! You work here? I mean - of course - sorry, of course you work here, you've got a name tag on. Of all the places..."
