Hello, my name is Shrikari. I have created this unofficial blog to help promote the teachings and work of the Soma Matha Spiritual Center in Richmond, Virginia, USA, and Gananathamritananda Swamiji. When a person cuts or burns a finger, they do not get upset at the finger for causing them pain. They do not cut off their own finger or yell at it, because they can see it is a part of their own self. Yet when people in our lives cause us distress or pain, we get angry and avoid them or attack them. We must learn to see that all people are a part of our divine self, and when others cause us pain, we must offer ourselves to assist and comfort them in the same way we would nurse a wound on our own body.
