Sorry if I haven't been online, my grandfather passed away today after waiting for someone to come to the hospital to be by his side.

My mind is all over the place and heart is in little pieces, I try to hug my pillow and remember only the good times with him.

RIP Grampy, love you to the moon and back.

Our world is falling apart, and sinking inward to the comfort of fantasies and ignoring the ugliness of the world is literally putting our global society and species at risk.  There’s no magic group of older people who are going to swoop in and save us from the mistakes they themselves made.  We’re the adults now, we’re the ones who can make an impact. We have to give ourselves some level of credit towards our intelligence and ability. We can do any number of things -- from writing about the issues online, changing up which companies get our service, or participating in local levels of politics, etc. If it’s a community-boosting, nature-building, or pollution-reducing action it helps. Whatever your limits are you can still help make the world a better place.

Watching a bunch of rich white people flee the country and leave the rest of us in the lurch while our rights and safety are slowly stripped away. What a fun time to be alive.

Canada won’t take you if you’re neurodivergent or poor, it’s also a hilariously racist place and still kidnap native people off their reservations. All of these countries prefer wealthy whites. Basically if you’re poor, brown, and have some form of disability you’re absolutely fucked in terms of immigration.

Dear Dayton and El Paso

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry that this has happened to you. I’m sorry that the reason you’re in the news is something horrific and sad, and not something wholesome, like ‘Local Farmer breaks world record for largest cow’ or ‘inspiring acceptance speech given by competition queen’ or ‘newly invented wickedly spicy dish is the latest fad as teens dare each other to eat it’. I’m so sorry that Republicans are silent on this. I’m sorry that the NRA has politicians by the balls, that they have that much power in our government that our politicians are too scared or too intimidated to do anything. I’m sorry that the NRA cares more about their right to buy, own, and use miniature, hand-held canons freely, than they do about human life.

I’m sorry that white nationalism exists (which is another topic I’m sorry about, that basially boils down to: I’m sorry that you’re so afraid of your ‘place’ in the world and angry and feeling threatened and full of rage that you think you have to go out and shoot innocent people in order to feel more secure).

I’m sorry that you two are the latest casualties in this epidemic.

But most of all, I’m sorry that 29 people were forced to leave this earth painfully and suddenly, and that their friends and families won’t be able to see them again.

So, if some people won’t say anything about this, then I will. I’m sorry there’s so much hate. I’m sorry that this hate boiled over and attacked your town. I’m sorry that 29 more people have died.

^_^; This song choice for the moment of 24yo!Earl Zolubu, my main OC, being in an hospital bed, in Republic City, Four Nations, radiated after taking 3 minutes of (Giant female humanoid) Godzilla/Gojira's nuclear pulse, resulted from an automatic response from an attack at the side during her stomp through Republic City, burned to an crisp, but shockingly alive, breathing, even though it is hitched by pain, and almost looking like an skeleton, as imported BLU tech radiation filters to get him into an 'safe' level and get his regeneration factor to work the rest, might get me possible death threats from you all, or hate, or a bunch of 'WHY?!', even though Earl doesn't die at this moment. But he was at an near death state, on life support and radiation getting gradually filtered out of his whole body until Bagklock Book 4 events, after Korra returns, began.

And Earl STILL has PTSD and nightmares of being in that state. : P And the kicker of this is that Earl being in that state was one day AFTER the end of Book 3's events, Korra getting mercury poisoned by Zaheer, Earl's, Korra's, and Zaheer's fight, Zaheer ending up getting killed by Earl at the end, her having to deal with not being able to move her legs, all that.One. Day. After. : P (Do go read the Purge Timeline page on my blog for more context on this, along with the other pages on Bagklock, Earl is 51 years old in current times, BLU is the factional empire on Bagklock Earth basically, and Bagklock Earth is what Earl and most of my original characters and canon characters, live on, within an alien, yet familiar crossover universe)
