The possible future of gaming as a whole, due to all of the bad decisions of Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony over the past 25 years:
SEGA returning to making their own game console.
Where their last straw was Sony making the horrible decision to become digital-only for their games.
No physical copies, aka, the cases and CDs.
The SEGA Nibiru, named after the fictional 'twin' planet at the opposite side of the 'Goldilocks zone' of the solar system, being behind the Sun.
Its imagined logo: An purple circle with the light blue zig-zag S design on it, the planet of Nibiru, within an larger yellow circle, aka, the Sun, with 8 lines for sun spikes.
And the letters S & N, with a slash (-) between them in a similar font to the Sega Saturn, but evolved.
The name of the console is similar to the Sega Saturn, but with a smaller and more minimal version of the logo between the two words.
But minimalism is not for the actual logo itself in its full state, if you will.
A planet-like half-sphere on a square base, where the Genesis-size cartridge, but with 10th-generation game CD-like capabilities, is put in the front horizontal cartridge port of the square base, above the eight USB controller ports and console buttons.
The half-sphere contains much of the hardware inside, connected to the square base, while also being made of the same durable-as-hell plastic as Nokia phones and the N64 cartridges.
Its imagined color scheme is mainly purple and yellow.
The Nibiru controller itself is the evolution of the SEGA Saturn controller, but for modern game controls.
The slick, Gavan/RoboCop-like SEGA Nibiru VR headset and controller bracers (Like Kazuya's and Jin's arm bracers), like the Nintendo Power Glove, but much better, are wirelessly connected to a wide USB port device on the top of the half-sphere, which is like the Dreamcast microphone back in the day, that glows when active.
Like putting a cartridge into a Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo.
And the VR head/bracer set has a 10-hour battery life on a 40-minute charge.
All of the old SEGA games, before Nibiru, SEGA's partners' games, can all be played via digital download at 3 quarters of the price of the console itself, which is $300-$400.
Roughly half the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 ($399-$499), PlayStation 5 ($399-$499), and Microsoft Xbox Series X ($599-$799).
The big games being $40-$50 dollars, not $70-$80.
The data storage of the Nibiru would be at 20 terabytes, or TXX, off-rip. Built in without buying any external things.
There would be online and offline modes of the console.
And thick plastic, foldable, connected plates for the Nibiru to make a box covering, where it has click-joints and corner push-rod hooks for the holes at the 4 corners of the bottom of the square base.
Where it can be securely lifted up by the handle on top.
A covering that comes with the Nibiru console upon being purchased.
The game graphics processor, from what I can imagine and from what little I know of graphics cards, besides some Google searches, would be either a future RTX 7090 or something else, while being tweaked and optimized for the Nibiru like any other game console.
But to have games that look realistic, games that bridge realism and cel-shaded stylization, and games that are heavily stylized.
And more emphasis on games showing their own kinds of presentation with that kind of graphics processor, the vision of the various game directors, and within the games' genres.
V
With this console in a possible future, SEGA energizes its original IPs by having their next games premiere on the console, alongside their competition through crossplay, while also aiming to make more Nibiru-exclusive games than Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony.
While also being like an adoption center for almost abandoned or completely abandoned original game IPs, alongside being a coalition alliance between 8 other companies.
Like a 'found family' of IPs mixed with those that were made at SEGA, like Sonic, and its partners.
While giving indie developers a chance on the Nibiru and even going as far as having Nibiru games be on Steam AND having PC/MAC versions on physical discs, unlike the console's cartridges.
AND release globally so as not to have almost an whole catalog of games be only on one console, like the SEGA Saturn.
The possible representatives of SEGA in an imagined presentation of the Nibiru in their own SEGA Direct (To clash with Nintendo's Direct):
Sega Shiro, the son of Segata Sanshiro.
+
Sonic The Hedgehog himself.
+
Kazuya Mishima, after Tekken 8, meaning that Tekken 9 would be released on the Nibiru as a launch title, among many.
On top of imagined Nibiru commercials being split between Sega Shiro, the kind & funny live-action ones, the fast & radical 3D ones with Sonic, and Kazuya Mishima, the CGI-rendered 'play games on our console or I will beat yo ass' commercials, like Sega Shiro's father, Segata Sanshiro.
The 12 partnerships:
1) Kojima Studios, including the legal battle for Kojima to get Metal Gear back in his hands & finish MGS V, AND Zone of the Enders 3.
2) Capcom.
3) Platinum Studios.
4) Saber Interactive.
5) From Software.
6) Raven Software.
7) SNK VS Studio + Bandai Namco.
8) Compile Heart & Idea Factory, meaning a Neptunia game for the SEGA Nibiru, a legit SEGA/'Planeptune' console.
9) The freelance game developer & director, Yoko Taro.
10) Sucker Punch Studios.
11) Pocketpair, the studio behind Palworld.
& 12) Rockstar.
Even with the potential drama of these studios working with SEGA for the gamble of developing this possible console, and its games, because they finally had enough of Sony, Nintendo, & Microsoft being stupid.

Sequels that are longggg overdue:
Asura's Wrath 2 (Set within the modern world of the Asura universe, within the 1st game's epilogue), Billy Hatcher 2, God Hand 2, Clockwork Knight 2, Klonoa 3, Maximo 3, Rocket 2, Jet Force Gemini 2, Kuon 2, Dragon's Dogma 3, a new Nier game or just an completely new game from Yoko Taro for the Nibiru, Shin Sakura Taisen/War 2, Sengoku Basara 5 - Edo, Otogi 3, Frame Gride 2, the third Nights game, an new Phantasy Star, Pac-Man World 4 + Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness 2, Gargoyle's Quest 4, while Demon's Crest gets the new subtitle of Gargoyle's Quest 3, an new Ghosts N' Goblins, Vanquish 2, another proper Darkstalker, with the anime OVA opening track as its opening and trailer theme, an new Strider, an new Breath of Fire, and so on.
+
2 anime/manga-based games, 1 90s CGI show, 1 LEGO franchise getting its whole story adapted into a Clair Obscur-inspired RPG, & 1 indie animation-based game:
Hellsing, Pretty Cure All Stars Musou, Shadow Raiders, Bionicle, & The Amazing Digital Circus.
And the possible return of The Darkness games with its third game.
+
The 71+ mostly abandoned or completely abandoned IPs that SEGA managed to bring back to their side for the Nibiru, even with a couple being a legal battle that they took a risk to do:
1) Rareware as a whole, finally bought by someone else who wouldn't do them like Microsoft. Even without Nintendo IPs now. Including Conker's Bad Fur Day 2, or Conker's Other Bad Fur Day, and the proper third Banjo-Kazooie game, Banjo-Threeie, can finally be made.
2) Killer Instinct's continuation from the 2013 reboot.
3) Metal Gear, including the actual finished Metal Gear Solid V, even with digital re-releases on Nibiru first. And the next Raiden game too.

20) Titanfall, where its 3rd game can be made.

68) Maken X2.
69) Overlord 3 (The game, not the anime/light novel).
70) Dungeon Keeper 2.
& 71) T'ai Fu 2.
All of this in an possible scenario because I think SEGA or some other company might rise up to take a risk at 'punching' Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft in this current console gaming climate.
The possibility is low, yes, but it is NOT zero. owo
Keep that in mind.
But if the future has this scenario play out, even if it is not that close or is different, Sony has themselves to blame for the possible domino effect of them getting a new or old competitor company coming in to brawl with them, Nintendo, and Microsoft.
Stirring up the console wars like we have never seen before!
And if SEGA returns like this, or even half of this craziness, Nintendo will sweat BULLETS like they have seen a ghost of 90s past.
Sailor Moon Villain Idea - Viceroa Susana of the space-faring Proxima Empire
I have a idea, tripling as expansion & fanfic bait, for a Sailor Moon villain that would shake up the souls of the Sailor Scouts.
Set after Stars, during summer break for Japanese schools, this villainess will truly grab the shoujo magical girl tone and start to choke it with an iron grip, coupled with her advanced psychic power, and her authoritarian mindset.
Viceroa Susana of the Alpha Centauri Solar Section, Proxima Centauri Sub-Section, of her planned Proxima empire beyond the somewhat recently conquered said system, with her ancient Sumerian-rooted and yet futuristic space-faring technology.
-With an Atompunk look to them.
--And that the Alpha Centauri Solar System is the nearest one to our own in real life.
The unexpected Sentai-like 2nd generation of the Courageous Warrior frogs of the Garden of Hope, but also their own thing as the 9 heroic and chivalrous gem knightly warrior frogs.
