It pains me to think about the fact that AZ probably doesn't realize his own importance in the field of historical records. He is so caught up in his own guilt and used to the exile of his own making, that it doesn't occur to him that something that he himself knows from his own experience may not be a widely known fact, or even more, might've been lost to history. Makes the fact that he got only 5 years of his aftermath with Floette even sadder. 3000 years worth of memories absolutely cannot be catalogued in such a short period of time, and even moreso if he did not put any conscious effort into it... He is so used to thinking about his crimes, living in hiding from everything and everyone for so long and generally considering himself inferior to others that it just doesn't occur to him what a treasure his life experience really is.
