I just realized, where is Traumatized Toothless fanfics??????????
I mean, I love my Hiccup angst/whump like any normal person, but I would really love, to just once have Toothless be the traumatized and needing comfort one
They are Soulmates, they are basically the same character, even before meeting each other they had extremely similiar traumas, and then anything that has traumatized Hiccup has also happened to Toothless (because again, they're the same)
Gimme some traumatized Toothless that hates bolas or being tied up because it reminds him of the day he was shot down. Gimme some traumatized Toothless that hates large bodies of water (sea, ocean even big lakes) because the amout of times he and Hiccup almost drowned. Gimme some traumatized Toothless that hates having his vision and hearing obstructed because it reminds him of when he was controled by the Red Death/Drago's Bewilderbeast (and as a bonus, a traumatized Toothless that hates when other people that aren't Hiccup try to ride him, with the very occasional very "no other option Hiccup is in danger and I need a rider" exceptions of Astrid, Stoick and Valka, because he doesn't trust others to not try to control him)
There is so MUCH angst/whump opportunities here, my boy Tooth is just as complex and traumatized as Hiccup
And the tought of Hiccup comforting Toothless is just aaaaaaaaaaaa so cute, reasuring him that Toothless is loved and it's ok now
I want to see dragons (specifically Toothless) having panic attacks and mental breakdowns pLEASE
