Thoughts on SombraxGenji?

give me an overwatch rarepair and i’ll make up a headcanon about them. (if this is not what you are referring to, congrats, you get extra ;p) 

as a general opinion, i’ve actually went through that ship tag once. stealth is their most obvious common ground. but the contrast between genji’s content, at peace personality and sombra’s driven, chaotic one is definitely something worth exploring for their kind of interaction. 

sombra and genji’s relationship probably developed from the fact that one of them started flirting, and the other started flirting back (they’re both people that are willing to test the waters and take dangerous risks). definitely the kind of couple that flirts, shows off and teases their counterpart/opponent in the battlefield. when questioned by a third party, they brush it off as harmless flirting. 

very competitive with each other. one’s going to end up getting hurt because they’re trying to outdo the other, and the other is just going to secretly leave a huge bouquet of flowers at the hospital (with a get well card containing lewd comments and a winky face). 

genji is likely to trick sombra into a real date where they do normal people things, like actually sit down and eat together, watch a movie and go to the amusement park. (playboy experience + sombra barely had anything normal while growing up to begin with). sombra chickens out from getting their first kiss by the end of the first date night because the date itself is already pretty overwhelming (“oh my god he really likes me. and i really like him. WHAT THE FUCK”). (genji is never going to let her live that moment down once she is over it). 

if you have trouble imagining how they’d be like together, just think back in school when there are screams and everyone would dodge out of the way because A is viciously chasing after B around campus, because B pranked A pretty good.
