With regards to the post about LobCorp and ressurecting people, it might have less to do with the actual ability to ressurect people and more that the Head will send its people after you to punish you for breaking their rule on truly being brought back to life.
So you have to be clever about how you bring someone back to life by playing with the loopholes. Loopholes like rewinding time to bring them back to life via Dante and the TT2 protocol plus the Backwards Clock or by making clones or cloned bodies like the R Corp or Life Insurance.
So more or less once a method for bootleg ressurection has been developed that doesn't call the Head down on you, you'll want to stick to it and expand on that instead of risking researching into more avenues of bringjng someone back. And thus despite having amazing Singularities and abnormalities, we only have a handful of ways of bringing people back. Because the Head kills anyone who tries to develop the ressurection tech and breaks their taboos.
(Sorry for sending this long ask, I was just interested in your recent post and was hoping to join the discussion.)
I... Completely forgot about the Head. 😅 The fact that they exist really answers my question on this matter. Except now I'm curious - if straight up revival is off the table, why isn't cloning? Or ultrafast regen? Is it explained somewhere in either Ruina or Limbus? (I haven't played Limbus at all yet and I'm barely grazing what wiki considers spoilers a.k.a. entering Urban Nightmare cutscene)
And don't worry about sending long asks - I'll read through and reply if I find the time.
