Hey, have some lesbians to star the year uwu
I love Lucien's whole thing with blood; Lucien believing that the "blood of the Nonagon" is the most precious gift he can give to Cree, something that binds them together, shows how much her loyalty and trust means to him. Cree using his blood as a focus for her cleric spells, seeing it as the blood of someone she worships like a god. What it means if your god can bleed, and freely sheds that blood for you.
Thinking of how Lucien and the other Tombtakers would mix their blood together and drink it back in the Claret Orders, how that was supposed to be a sign of their shared connection, their bond. Magic manifesting through blood--through the Hunter's Bane that changed you, down to that very blood in your veins, made you something other than mortal, something more dangerous than the monsters you were raised to hunt...
Lucien trying to use hemocraft to heal like Cree, and discovering that he is so terribly bad at it, that no matter how much blood he sheds, he can never truly grasp what it means to heal. Maybe that's just a trait his blood never had. Maybe that says something about Lucien's own shattered, "Empty" soul.
Would Molly be disgusted at the thought of drinking the blood of any of the Nein--like Lucien once did with fellow blood hunters--or would it seem only natural to him? Would he ever consider gifting a vial of his blood to someone dear to him, would he see that as the same kind of heartfelt gesture as Lucien?
And blood being what it is--the potential for it to be a potent and powerful spell component for casters--especially that of a blood hunter, both blessed and cursed with this rare, forbidden magic...would a wizard like Caleb understand the gravity of that? Would Molly--who sheds his blood for his loved ones so freely--volunteer his own if a spell or ritual ever called for it? Would a part of him want Caleb to have it because this was the man who fought the hardest to save him, who carried out that ritual for his resurrection...
Does it still make Caleb flinch whenever Molly/Kingsley sheds his blood? Does he still have flashes of Mollymauk's body lying lifeless on the ground, eyes never shut--does he still feel his heart twist and ache with every blood maledict, every sacrifice and rite--
i think the thing that really gets me about all the "we've got to kill this guy kabru" meme redraws with mithrun is that in the very first conversation mithrun has with laios, he trusts him with, essentially the fate of the world and his life long revenge quest against the demon
gabriela is so repressed and reluctant to see herself as anything human-like that she feels like she cant wear the clothes that she wants to. bc she doesnt Need to. she'll survive wearing whatever clothes she comes across. but also, like, this is what she wants to wear. the shame of wanting to wear a turtleneck and a skirt with a simple pattern may be enough to put her in the grave. be real.
never forget how chunt canonically turns into a big softie post recording
On the one hand, I like to imagine Maria and Liam could both be good influences on each other. On the other hand, I have a lot of fun imagining them as the delightfully evil yet somehow very loving villain couple Droey could’ve been.
PTSD tuesday everybody give it up for PTSD tuesday
i think a lot of people have never been in a truly desperate situation but think they have, and this causes them to pass really harsh judgment on people who made bad choices when either irrational or having no good choices to pick instead, and i really wish people could get some fucking self-perception and work on their compassion skills and not fucking do that as much anymore
