I'm in my feels right now about Lucien and Aldreda. And if Aldreda was ever to meet Mollymauk or Kingsley, how she would react? I just.. really really want them to be a family. 😭

(I think its personally bc I've been in Aldreda's shoes as a younger sibling of not recognizing who your sibling has grown to become and cutting them out of your life only to regret it later. Of the sad hope and longing for something different. Of what could have been if circumstances were different.)

I'm just gonna be sad in my corner over here.

#aHHH YeSS ME TOO!! i think aldreda is the thing from the novel that really sticks with me. i wish she was more of a focus because i feel #like exploring their dynamic more would be so interesting and compelling ; ;#and the fact that there's always the possibility that she and tealeaf Could meet again--that. in another life. maybe they could even be #friends. or a family again...#i think a lot about how aldreda lives in rexxentrum. like caleb. and how caleb is the one that always believed in reaching out to #family. telling jester that having parents is important and encouraging her to find her father. how he would definitely want that #for kingsley too. especially when king's only family is the nein. caleb wanting him to have that chance for a connection. who would #absolutely tell kingsley if he found out he had a sister and niece or nephew living in the city...#even if it ended in heartbreak again. i think caleb would still really encourage kingsley to try. and i think king would want that to. if #only to try and do right by molly and lucien ; ;#also i can definitely relate too in the sense of like...close friends contacting me again after a while and then just. not having the #heart to respond because i feel like i. haven't 'accomplished' enough or am in a good place and dont want to disappoint them. so i just #dont answer #so lucien having the stacks of unanswered letters from his sister that he doesnt have the heart to respond to. that he doesnt think he's #good enough to reply to--#i really feel for him ; ;
