fic rec! modern-day Percabeth, coming in hot at 24K

Summary: When Percy and Rachel break up, Annabeth decides to standby her best friend and help him get over it. Not make a move, despite how much she wants to, but with how clingy Percy gets, well, her heart gets more shocks then she might be able to handle.

Comment: This is so cute and adorable. And I love how layered the relationships are. Rachel starts out as a villain for causing the breakup, but it turns out she also has a relationship with Annabeth. And Percy’s growing fondness for Annabeth, built around his relationship with Rachel and others at school, is also really cute to watch. Eventually, I was just like Annabeth, waiting for him to get his head out of a kelp bed and just admit he was moving on. To Annabeth, of course.
