ppl are going bonkers on twitter over what bash said in his interview over empathising over ben & I totally understand that because i was feeling totally weird abt the way he phrased it as well…at the end of the day being confused over your sexuality should not be a justification for you to be a total dickhead & to start SA ppl who you claim to love, which is why nick as a character exists to provide that juxtaposition of someone who is equally confused over his sexuality but goes around it in such a healthy way by researching, communicating his feelings & setting realistic expectations with charlie
Because me as a viewer (never having read the books) when i first watched HS & nick asked whether or not “we can keep it a secret” cause he wasn’t ready my first thought was omg not AGAIN! and was expecting him to act like he didn’t know charlie bt that wasn’t the case which clearly shows that if you have enough respect for yourself & the ppl around you, you will still be a decent person
