I want to thank you for reblogging a lot of different authors. I’ve found so many good writers that I wouldn’t have found otherwise. I follow a lot of fic writers but I wish there was an easier way to find fics that don’t get as much love, or writers that don’t get as many views. A lot of the fic I see are a couple hundred notes in... I want to support people who don’t have a large audience because they should get seen too. Any suggestions on how to find them?

I feel the same. It breaks my heart when I see stories with just a few notes. I've been here a while and I've never understood why some fics take off and some just don't.

If people tag their fics, you could go look there. Like #xf fanfic or #xfiles fanfic. Without tags, I wouldn't know how to find them. I try to reblog as much as possible. I love finding new authors and I am always happy to boost them. I'm not perfect; I tend to read and reblog what's on my dash. Back in the day, I sought out more fic.

You can offer authors to tag them so you can read and reblog them. Other than that and the tag search, I really don't know.

Anyone else have any tips?

A look into my life: rant 1

I'm part of an industry that I don't fit into. I've known this since I started and thought I could make myself fit.

I'm a model; an artist that uses their body to tell poetry. My goal was to be able to dress in beautiful clothes and have teams work with me to create stunning images that capture only the best moments of life.

But yet, it seems impossible. Impossible for me to fit in. Impossible for me to break the mold everyone wants. Why? I'm not tall nor am I beautiful by any means. But I can pose. I can tell poetry with my body. I can evoke emotions from my audience.

And yet...it's still like I'm fighting everytime I try and set up a shoot everytime I reach out to people.

"I'm sorry", they say as they look me up and down. "I only work with larger artists. You are too small."

My heart breaks. My head screams, just give me a chance! Just give me a chance and I'll show you that I can become a large artist. I have talent don't I? I can portray emotions that you want.... So why don't you want me?

Keep pushing my mind whispers. Keep trying. Keep creating. It will come, they will come, they will see.

I sob in response.

Is my worth only my followers and likes? Is that where my talent is perceived?

I wanted to help capture magical moments and create art but this is only torment.

Keep trying I sigh. Keep trying.
