"Oh, SO many ways. For example, these two I named Tarse and Macken, because they reminded me of Pintel and Ragetti from Pirates of the Caribbean."

"I don't see the connection...?"

"The actor who played Ragetti was named Mackenzie Crook, so 'Macken.' Then I googled 'Pintel,' and found that it means two things! One is a nautical pin."

"And the other..."

"And the other is penis. Which another search told me has also been called 'tarse.' Which sounded like the perfect name for this guy."

"So it fits, then?"

"Oh yeah, he's definitely a tarse."

in physics we have this phrase "find the equation of motion" which roughly translates to "find me a differential equation so complicated you start crying when you think about solving it" and i think that's really beautiful
