i've seen some people saying this but i don't think caine causes all the abstractions
i think whatever he did to scratch was by accident, and he might have never done so again
i could see a case for kaufmo, but i'm still not fully sold. i really think kaufmo just got so obsessed with finding an exit that he couldn't think of anything else and spiralled into abstraction
another reason (the main reason, actually) why i think caine doesn't cause all abstractions is jax. caine had nothing to do with jax's almost abstractions (i'm counting ep 6 and 7). jax is lonely and borderline, if not entirely, depressed; he just had a pretty bad fight with the one person he was getting friendly with since ribbit and kaufmo abstracted; and the other players prefer it when he's not around (tbf we don't actually know how kinger feels about him, but it's not like they're close so the point stands). he has obvious vulnerability/attachment issues is my point, caine doesn't have anything to do with that directly and i don't think there's anything he could have done to prevent it from happening
this is not to say caine did nothing wrong ever, he's very flawed: he doesn't care that much about the players feelings/struggles – he wasn't programmed to care; only talks to them about adventures; he put them in a high stress situation, making them believe there's a way out only for it to be another adventure – knowing how much they want to leave, i think that classifies as psychological torture; he messed with someone's mind so much it led them to abstraction
i'm just saying he's not intentionally, deliberately evil. he's a computer program that does what he was made to do: games for the people inside the amazing digital circus
Man, I just finished up with my bike ride not long ago. And this ride in particular was truly such a profound experience.
I hopped onto my bike quickly after taking a moment to prepare. And then I set off. I put some loud and upbeat celtic instrumental music playing on my phone and started pedaling.
I let myself get lost in hearing my music and feeling the movements of my bike and all of the sounds around me. The longer I pedaled, the faster I would go. I attempted to ride as fast as I possibly could for about 20 or-so minutes, and not long into it I felt myself easily slipping into a bear shift.
I could feel my strong muscles pushing me forward, my sharp claws grabbing along the handles. And, my thick fur blowing in the wind. I could easily visualize myself running across everywhere I went on all fours, exploring everything and taking in my surroundings.
My muscles are tired and ache from riding so quickly, but it was so worth it. This is the main reason that bike riding has been such a wonderful thing for me. It allows me to free myself from the metaphorical shackles within my brain and be as I am as I should be. It allows me to push further into an animalistic state of mind, and feel more like myself than I ever have. It feels so right. Like I am exactly where I need to be.
I want to try to push myself to have a ride like this everyday (if I can), I feel so much more like an animal when I am actively getting out and doing something. And something about the thrill and speed of riding a bike really does it for me.
No because I fully understand how much resentment Crowley has towards Gabriel. Seeing the archangel who threatened the only constant in his life lose his memories and simply show up at their bookshop. To watch that goddamned archangel get to say “No” to God, to disagree with heaven and still stay an angel without having to go through the pain that he did when he Fell. To see Aziraphale simply say that Gabriel needs them like he hadn’t tried to kill Aziraphale with no remorse. And at the end of it all, he gets to go off with someone he loves, the only person who’d ever given him something while Heaven and Hell watch with somewhat empty threats. And to top it all off, Aziraphale, whom he has waited and longed for, thinks that he can fix him?! Literally seeing his heart break while he looks at Aziraphale enter the elevator was just ughhhh
But on the other hand, I can fully understand Aziraphale. He’s been believing in what Heaven has said to be God’s will, fully believing that Heaven is the good side, the better side. He knows how rude the Archangels were to him, he knows that they were wrong in many aspects; but he still believes. He believes that this can change, he believes that he can fix this institutional problem, because that’s not only what he’s been told, but also because he genuinely wants to. He can bring Crowley with him, to have the only (truly) positive constant in his life be at his side. He can bring back the smile that he’d seen on Crowley’s face when the galaxy was made, he can not only go back to how things were, but also make them better!
Everyone who has helped work on the Good Omens show, while you have irreparably changed my brain chemistry and put the fandom in shambles, thank you so much.
While a lot of the information in this Google doc feels suspicious to me (meaning some of the commentary feels a little one sided and like conclusions were jumped to at times), there are screenshots in the post that speak for themselves. I found some of the things in the post arguable and something that could go either way. However, as you continue through the posts and see screenshots of things that were actually posted on @/biggest-gaudiest-patronuses' blog, there are things that are pretty uncomfortable.
Sure, these things could be INTENSELY horrible "jokes" but someone who makes jokes like these is not someone I want to be around.
I'm not here to start discourse or anything. I only want people to be aware of some of these screenshots. You can make up your mind about all of these posts, of course. However, I will not be showing support for them now that I have been made aware of some of the screenshots.
There are trigger warnings in the doc, so be prepared for all of that. I will say that specifically the things that made me intensely uncomfortable that were in the "100% no doubt that this is not a poorly done joke or miscommunication" category involve assault, minors, and lesphobic "jokes". The things in the "miscommunication or terribly decided on "joke" that never should have been posted" involves antisemitism and racism.
I'm sorry if I have not believed what was said to me until now. The screenshots speak for themselves and I am very glad I have been able to see them.
Thank you so much for tagging me @so-this-is-ava!
This was a bit different test, but I liked it... Hmm, I think this one fits me mostly, except there are some parts that doesn’t and those colors at the end? Yeah, those were a hard miss in my case, lol.
Here is a link to this funky test!

What are some things you think Smash Ultimate better? For me it's the return of trophies, Boss rush, Randomized classic mode, Bowsers castle stage and most importantly STORY MODE WITH NEW CUTSCENES.
Boss rush is definitely on the list
Spirit descriptions are also on my list
Paper Mario music besides that singular medley that's actually 1/3 just the airship theme from SMB3
T pose function for training mode so I can actually measure the characters without worrying about them not standing straight or constantly moving (looking at you, Mario, Falco, and Little Mac)
More Gyromite music and maybe a stage
Actually just Gyromite anything
At least one primary spirit for each existing franchise because the same series bonus leaves certain characters disadvantaged
I wish the random spirit set option didn't prioritize the saved sets with the highest power because if I don't want every cpu with the same spirit team I have to push the randomize button 46 times
The option to choose more than one song for a custom stage (like three would be a manageable max I'd think)
A classic mode for Falco that doesn't require a 5000 word essay to extract any meaning from in relation to him (I've actually made a post that does almost exactly this)
New Palutena's Guidance convos for all the characters that didn't already get new ones, ESPECIALLY for the dlc fighters that aren't Piranha Plant
New Snake's Codec convos for the new characters (also update them so it's not not super obvious they were directly ripped from Brawl with no modifications made)
Update the Star Fox taunt convos to have consistent (and decent, in the case of Peppy and Slippy) voices. They can keep the lines the same word for word for all I care, I just want them to be consistent across the board (and tolerable).
New flat zone theme
Miscellaneous cutscenes that aren't part of an adventure mode so that we can see various characters interacting (maybe have them unlocked alongside or instead of classic mode pictures)
Littermate AU: F&I Summarized
SO I realized that last post got super fucking long so let me just quickly list MAJOR changes:
- Cinderkit and Brackenkit are STILL kits! As they should be with Brightkit and Thornkit.
- Bramblepaw is Fireheart’s apprentice, Tawnypaw was given to Greystripe but swapped to Sandstorm when he was absent, Lynxpaw is Mousefur’s, and Swiftpaw is still Longtail’s. They’re all Tigerclaw and Goldenflower’s kits. Swiftkit’s design is changed from black and white to black tabby with high white, Lynxkit remains a tortie with low white as does Tawnykit, and Bramblekit is a golden brown tabby.
- Golden’s litter is apprenticed a bit later in the book (post WindClan return) and Sandstorm and Dustpelt are made warriors much sooner.
- Lynxpaw is injured by Tigerclaw’s trap for Bluestar instead of Cinderpaw getting crippled.
- Lynxpaw catches greencough and dies with Bluestar losing a life, Elderkit, One-eye, and Smallear
- Fireheart doesn’t visit Princess quite as much/she isn’t pregnant
- Brokentail’s rogues do not attack
- Cloudkit is not born/given to ThunderClan
- Silverstream is pregnant at the END of the book
- Tawnypaw and Bramblepaw help save Fireheart from Leopardfur while Tigerclaw sits by and does nothing.
There might be some things I forgot to mention? But this is the gist of the changes. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I’ll try to sort out the Forest of Secrets stuff within the next week.
