i saw on one of your posts that you recently got into ace attorney and it's consuming your every waking thought and 1. SAME 2. ace attorney and okami are my two favorite games
truth be told i got into ace attorney like… maybe a month ago!! i’m the most familiar with the very first ace attorney and justice for all but i’ve also started apollo justice as requested by a friend
the only problem right now is the fact that i have absolutely no money right now and i’m not sure if i wanna emulate the next few games in the series… my computer can’t handle a lot of things and emulators are one of em
okami’s a huge fave of mine as well (given that here i am running an entire blog about it)!! i was first introduced to it in the middle of 2010 and 8 years later i’m still just as interested in it as i was when i first got into it!
what kind of straight up body horror would mia's spirit being channeled have in your opinion i gotta know
i have Thoughts about how bones and shit aren’t supposed to bend and contort in the ways they do when a spirit medium starts channeling someone to begin with so the few times nick forgot to look away from the process he totally lost his lunch but also in general i just. like everything being subtly off.
the teeth aren’t quite right for that face and there’s something wrong with the bone structure and the skin is stretched too tight or too loose and the body is contorted in such a way that its just. you don’t want to look at them too closely, probably.
9 and 10 for that salty ask meme? any fandom you're salty about
Alrighty then *cracks knuckles*
Be wary guys, gals and non-binary pals, Perso//na 4 salt incoming. You have been warned.
Persona 4
Most disliked character(s)? Why?
(I forgot about one and I put him first cause Boi I got a lot to say about him)
Teddie in Persona Q and to a lesser extent the Arenas, Teddie a pretty cool character and I love him to bits but GOD do they ruin the poor bear in PQ. His character is a complicated one who has that existential crisis of not knowing exactly what he is and when he finds out he’s conflicted on what to do. His close friendship with Nanako is adorable and overall aside from the occasional flirting that falls flat, he wasn’t awful at all
The arenas sorta make him slightly more one dimensional (granted P4A and P4AU do come after the events of P4 so it would make some sense why they are generalizing them.), but even then he had his complexity still shine at times.
Then comes PQ (and I'm gonna say this first and foremost, I loved PQ it's a good game.) My only nitpick is the characterization they do but once again, like the arenas, i understand why. There are over 20 main characters in the game and all of them except for two have their own games. they won't have time to characterize any of them if they already were characterized, to begin with. Because of this, pretty much everyone from the P3 and P4 cast was pretty severely one dimensional. many of the characters were alright despite this though. except for teddie. I understand this is before the final arc of P4, but he’s literally unbearable (pun not intended but totally appreciated). All he literally does is try to hit on Rei and the P3/P4 girls, and practically all of them fall flat. HE’S NOT EVEN THAT GOOD IN COMBAT HE’S CONSIDERED THE WORST MEMBER IN COMBAT TOO WHICH DOESNT HELP HIS CASE
Thankfully, despite the crazy plot and the fact that it's a music game, dancing all night actually makes him genuinely funny again and I appreciate it.
but. yeah. I hate PQ Teddie. Unlike this next guy, I actually hate PQ Teddie with a PASSION
Adachi. Like yes I know he’s the bad guy and all, and honestly, he's a pretty damn good one. and as a villain, I actually do like him. It’s just when people glorify (don't even try to deny it, I've seen posts so I know) him as if he did nothing wrong when he actually tried to get intimate with two women against their will, one of them being a high schooler just cause he was BORED.
Usually, my favorite villains are those who either have a great redemption or are so cleverly evil, I can't help but hate them. I love Adachi’s cleverness as a bad guy and all, but I can't stand the fact that he's so glorified.
On a more grander scale, Mitsuo. He’s just overall creepy (if anything, I hate this guy more than Adachi)
Honorary mention goes to Namatame, I don't really care for him and he has done shitty stuff in the past ESPECIALLY WITH THE ENTIRE HEAVEN DUNGEON, but I honestly can't help but feel a bit bad when he tells his side of things near the end of the game. aside from that though, he's ehhhhhhhh.
Most disliked arc? Why?
The Mitsuo Kubo dungeon. it was a rad dungeon and all but it was probably the most boring arc in general. (granted understandably why, there was no new member added, and it was mostly done for the addition of a copycat killer but other than the dungeon itself, everything else was really boring to me).
you aren't a true ace attorney fan unless you've considered, at least once, shipping all of the major villains together like some kind of fucked up harem and writing a weird fic where one of the WAA folks finds a tape of them all having sex in prison
i’m not sure why this is an ask my friend but unfortunately i’m not unfamiliar with the concept i guess i’m not and will never be a true ace attorney fan rip
