So how do Rina and Maria meet? I’d figure that Rina would probably recognize her instantly, (hard to completely say since there was a bit of delay with Mary and Sophia, but Maria’s the original MC). Would she try to keep a distance?

Since Katarina recognized Maria the moment they passed by each other in the magic school, I think it’s safe to say it would be instant recognization.

But in this au Rina is adopted by an old farming couple and they often sell their produce at the market. Maria and her mother stop by their stand to buy some vegetables one day and that’s how they meet.

Rina would definitely want to avoid Maria, so she doesn’t get pulled back into the storyline. By this time, however, Maria’s magic has been revealed and people treat her coldly. Rina can’t help but want to cheer her up and ends up becoming friends with Maria. It was inevitable.

Okay, but here’s a question, would Kaito’s room also be messy or not. He lived with his grandparents so I assume he’d clean up to be a good grandson, but maybe that changed while in the killing game. So would he judge Kokichi’s room or be just as guilty.

I know exactly what his room would look like because I know a few people that remind me of him in certain ways and vice versa and I promise you that he would try to keep it clean, and maybe his study desk would be good, but he has clothes everywhere. Dirty, clean, doesn’t matter. He’s got 7 copies of the same jacket in the most random places across his room, only two of them being the floor (H-How did you get the jacket over the monitor, Momota-kun?!) It smells like a goddamn locker room in there.

Look, his grandparents try to enforce him cleaning up, and he dutifully shoves all the clothes into his closet or the laundry when they harp on him, but give it two days tops and it’s back to its regular chaos.

…. still not as bad as Kokichi’s, and he will certainly judge him like the damn hypocrite Kaito is.

everyone’s way too excited about the Fuck Ouma Party (except for iruma) which is happening in 2 days from now!! even hoshi is going!! there’s going to be an ouma pinata and various party games like pin the knife on the ouma and holy water pong (because angie said no alcohol!!) for everyone to enjoy!! The details that went into this really do make me question Kokichi. He's brilliant certainly, but to make such plans...

There’s so much about him that just wigs me out in hindsight. He has ridiculous foresight to the point where he can predict peoples’ deaths, can not only generally avoid being seen, but detect and remove micro-security, can appear out of nowhere and take a freakin assassin off guard, can resist or otherwise endure strangulation torture, can brush off extreme pain like concussion or arrows like it’s nothing, and... what is his talent, a Supreme Leader of a prankster group. Er.

For the outrunning the bad end au, I can imagine while on the run, Katarina ends up keeping her hair short like she had in her previous life. While I love the long hair, it also makes her resemble her mother even more, as well as maybe her symbolically separating herself from the Katarina in the game.

Yeah, I could totally see her doing that. Having short hair would frame her face differently and force people take a second glance to be sure it’s Katarina. I’m also just going to confirm that Katarina has bangs in this au, so she really will have the same hairstyle as in her previous life.
