Favorite completed fic: Sometimes the Only Way to Get By Is to Get High ( It is Henry's birthday, and Robin seeks Regina out, hoping to offer comfort. They both get a little more than they bargained for. Set during the missing year in the Enchanted Forest. )

Favorite WIP: What Happens In Vegas ( Robin and Regina meet one night in Vegas, and wake the next morning to find themselves with little recollection of who each other is, what exactly transpired the night before, and how they ended up with these wedding bands on their fingers. Regina's hopes for a quick and quiet annulment are dashed by the realization their secret wedding was not so secret after all. )

Favorite OS: Half Past the Point of Oblivion ( Robin finds a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey in Regina's nightstand and she reluctantly admits she finds it poorly written but thinks some of the sexy parts are, well, pretty hot... So he brings home a pair of handcuffs one night and suggests they have a little fun of their own.)

Roland, on the other hand, had no trouble making friends; within days of their arrival Leroy had granted him honorary dwarf status, and on the seventh morning he marched right up to sandwich himself between elbows at the royal table, much to Robin’s outward chagrin (in secret, he found he rather enjoyed the way the Queen would startle and soften, letting Roland sneak crumbs off her plate while she smiled in a way that made it impossible for Robin to look anywhere else).

Here’s the thing. I like to think I’m a good writer, but when I’m writing and I realize that I’m not setting the scene, I go back and re-read @somewhereapart. Read the way she sets up New York in the fall at the beginning of Baker’s Dozen - that is ART. I have a degree in English literature, and that’s still one of my most favorite things I’ve ever read.

Don’t even get me started on Breaking In.
