I feel like the hitchhiking photo is sort of tone deaf. I mean some of the people who hitchhike are backpackers trying to save a buck, but a big portion are people living below the poverty line. Harry at a castle pretending to hitchhike in a suit which cost who-knows-how-much to his wedding that cost who-knows-how-much to his wife who's wearing a dress that cost who-knows-how-much.. I dunno. 99% of people who hitchhike aren't doing it for thrills, they have no other mode of transport.
He was hailing a car, I don’t think it’s that deep. I also don’t think we could accurately say that 99% of people who hitchhike are doing it because they live below the poverty line. If you can provide a source I’d happily retract that but I just think that sounds like a pretty sweeping statement
Eugenie was my favorite bride First, no vail, which I hate, cause becomes a mess on top with the tiara, but for a very specific reason, her scar, and then this lovely flowy dress in color. I loved Kate's 1st dress but not the second, and didn't like any of Meghan's dresses, although, her second was better. Can you list the six dresses by order?
I loved the scar too. I have scars of my own and it means a lot for her to make a statement about how they don’t detract from who you are as a person
1) Princess Eugenie’s wedding dress- The silhouette is absolutely beautiful and just worked perfectly on her. I love that it has a quirky element to the bustle but it isn’t too over the top
2) Meghan’s reception dress- I’m not usually a Stella fan but I thought it was beautiful on her and was very much her style
3) Eugenie’s reception gown- I still can’t decide if I love or hate this but it provokes a reaction which is what I love about fashion
4) Kate’s wedding gown- I don’t really love the bodice of the dress, I don’t think it’s the most flattering style. But the bustle is beautifully crafted
5) Kate’s reception gown- It’s pretty but kind of boring
6) Meghan’s wedding dress-The neckline suits her but I find it bland and too similar to many other royal wedding gowns
Hi! Did Ella go to the Sussex wedding and Eugenie’s?
Hello :) the extended family weren’t present at the Sussex wedding, at least for the church. We don’t know if they were invited later on in the evening as in the UK we often invite less close family and friends for the evening only. Her and her now husband were at Eugenie’s (she looked great):
Harry wasn't hitchhiking he was pretending to hail a cab. This person never hailed a cab in their life? It was cute. The video was too much, like, fanmade material, but the behind the scenes pics were lovely Next time, party pics please, Sussexes!
Yeah I didn’t interpret it as hitch hiking either, I interpreted it as hailing a taxi. I just don’t think it’s that big a deal.
People are offended Meghan's doing I don't know what, I'm still offended I got no slice of cake from the wedding. Hers and Eugenie's. That's what's really offensive.
I remember Meghan and Harry’s cake sounding really nice, it was lemon right? I can’t remember Eugenie’s.
I asked you about their families being invited because I saw an old tweet saying that the Middleton weren't going to be invited to H&M's wedding because they aren't close and because they didn't have to invite them (just as CP and Sofia did with his in-laws' families.) And I was like 'Let's ask Jessica about this'. Thanks for replying!
Ahh ok :) I would say that different couples and different royal families are going to invite different people. Whether or not the Middletons were invited would have been a decision for Meghan and Harry and no one would have forced them to be invited. They didn’t invite some of their more distant cousins so they certainly wouldn’t have invited them unless they chose to have them there. But they were there!!
Just to add to the Kate, Camilla and Zara reacting to the speech bit and them trying to turn that into racism. I live in a religion obsessed town with churches everywhere that worship very loudly, bishops like those are made fun of everyday because of how exaggerated they are. It looked bad for the royals because of their role but their reaction is perfectly normal. I lived in a white country and loud white bishops get looks and giggles too, it's normal and quite funny if not irritating.
I feel conflicted because the way he delivers his sermons is so heavily rooted in African American churches that it does have a racial component even if it doesn’t seem overt to people who aren’t from the African American community. But I’m also an atheist and unlike race Christianity is a choice so I reject the fact I have to praise religious preaching in any form. And although I think his enthusiasm was fantastic and I really enjoyed the joy he brought to religion compared to the stuffy British priests, he did run over a lot and that costs us more money which I find disrespectful. If it had been on time or five minutes over I wouldn’t have had an issue. So I do think that there is an important racial element but there are also other factors which aren’t related to race which are problematic for me
