so I just had

a REALLY fun idea

*slides together Son of Dio and Corpse of Gold* so what if Diavolo killed Giorno and Trish

like. Canon goes mostly the same, save for the fact Giorno's hair doesn't change color. He still gets Gold, still decides to overthrow the Boss, but this time :)

this time when Diavolo punches him through things don't go as well :)))

after all...... Giorno's a 15 year old kid and decently smaller than Bucciarati. And if he's dead and unable to heal Trish..... well, it's only natural she'd get killed as well

Gold Experience of course VERY much disagrees with this course of events and pours every single ounce of energy it can into bringing its User and his friend back. I'd imagine Trish wouldn't get too many physical differences, after all her hair is already pink and her eyes are green, but maybe she ends up getting Spice Girl's eye markings and starts loosing her pupils so it's just solid green?

but yeah, anyways now there are two freshly dead 15 year olds with a LOT of trauma, magic powers and one hell of a grudge

I'm not super sure how the AU goes from here (maybe they end up teaming up with Risotto or Polnareff?) but. God this is going to absolutely DESTROY Bucciarati when he finds out. That these two children were murdered in cold blood and he more or less delivered them to their killer on a silver platter

Just wondering, what did happen when gio and Trish ascended the bell tower, in ur son of dio fic (I think that's the one where diavolo knows Gio is dio's kid and plans to kill two birds with one stone?) I remember that's one of my fave of ur fics and was pretty excited to see what happened next :0 no pressure of course!

I unfortunately don't have a fic for that one yet, but I'd be more than happy to share what happens next :)))

so things are...... definitely a bit tense when Bucciarati reads out the Boss's orders. He'd planned on meeting and confronting the Boss, and this was literally the perfect time but..... but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Sure it could just be played off as the Boss thinking someone younger would be easier to defend against, but he also likely had files on every member of the Bucci Gang and the next youngest member would've been Fugo, who amongst their group was honestly among the most dangerous and had been with Passione the second longest

so no, it didn't really sit right with him

but this was a direct order from the Boss, and unless he wanted an early grave he had to follow it. So he gets off the boat, sneaks in a cell phone by turning it into some vines to hide in his sleeve, and watches with Trish as the others ride the boat into the distance

when they head inside...... the feeling doesn't get any better. The air is heavy and neither of them speak but the tension is thick and there's a buzz of anxiousness around them. Trish still has her moment where the mask she's been keeping up cracks, where her anxieties and fears make their way to the forefront and Giorno....... Giorno offers her his hand

"I'll keep you from harm. It's what I've been tasked to do." he tells her. He isn't sure what possessed him to say that, after all in the face of the Boss he really wouldn't be able to do much. It was barely anything more than empty, pretty words or condolence

but at the same time, deep down Giorno realizes he meant it. Realizes that he would risk everything he'd been trying to do if that meant another innocent person wouldn't die because of his choices and decisions. Realizes he wouldn't be able to turn a blind eye should the Boss try to do something to Trish

right now looking at Trish he realizes she's just another 15 year old who doesn't know what's going to happen next. Just like him

if this is what friendship felt like, it was the single most terrifying and best thing he'd ever experienced

they hold hands as they ride the elevator up. A grounding, firm presence they can feel and touch to remind them that they're alive and still here

but then the touch is gone

and Giorno feels pain

Pain, pain, pain extending from his stomach outwards, like his ribs have been broken and ground into powder, he can't feel his legs anymore and above all else he grows cold

they're in the catacombs now, he distantly realizes. Gone is the neat, clean elevator and in its place is dark and damp and dusty stone, barely any light at all and merciless in its presence. Trish is on the ground nearby, a cloudy half lidded gaze meeting his eyes

he can't tell if she's alive or not

but through it all, all the conflicting sensations and emotions and fading pulse of Gold under his skin, Giorno's able to make out red with white crisscross

the Stand stares at him with its acid green eyes, mouth moving and making sounds and asking questions he can hear but not understand. He doesn't know who Brando is or what World he's talking about or why he thinks he was sent by someone, the Boss asked him to be here, none of it makes sense

all he can clearly make out in the arm going straight through his stomach and hoisting him in the air

he needs to move, he realizes. If he doesn't, he's going to die

as quickly as he can, the vines up his arm are thrown toward the Boss. The Stand backhands them easily, inadvertently throwing himself across the room in the process. The arm was more painful being pulled out then being put in, but at least on the floor Giorno can fix himself

everything's a blur after that. Healing Trish, causing a jungle of plants and animals to erupt in their wake as they bolt for the exit, and even as reality blinks before their eyes and the world skips ahead without them, the Boss isn't able to follow them through all the flora and fauna

but as they run, Giorno's mind is racing. The Boss knew who he was, and the Boss wanted something from him. He thought Giorno knew something he needed and was willing to kill him for it, and with a sinking feeling he realizes him being brought down with Trish was intentional

the Boss wanted to knock out two birds with one stone

and as the two of them leave the island clinging to the back of a sailfish, Giorno begins to wonder with an ugly, sickening feeling in his stomach if Bucciarati had been in on it

So it’s been a while since I beat a character with the angst bat. So let’s hit Giorno :D

AU where Diavlo knows Giorno is Dio’s son

Diavlo is a paranoid man. That was made explicitly clear.

So it probably wouldn’t be out of the question if after he started Passione and got a good information network, he would use it to track down Enya to see what she did with the arrows she bought from him.

Then he finds out about Dio.

And you BET he’s going to be paranoid about him and try to learn everything he can. And to his absolute terror(although he’d never admit it) there’s practically nothing on this guy. The farthest back any of his informants can find is when he appeared in Cairo a year or so back, and that’s it

So Diavlo takes what information he can and starts logging things down. The names of Dio’s minions, how often they go out, how often Dio goes out, rumors of theories about what Dio’s stand is, anything and everything he can find he files away because anything could be useful

And then Dio dies. Killed in Cairo by a 17 year old who went by the name Jotaro Kujo, nicknamed by his peers as “Jojo.”

And Diavlo relaxes. Because Dio’s been dealt with, and sure Jotaro might be stronger but he’s not an unknown. Jotaro’s past isn’t shrouded in mystery and questions. Diavlo can learn about him. Diavlo can send his assassins to kill him, need be.

Eventually, the Dio File he had collected fades to the back of his mind. He never got rid of it, but it was no longer of any importance.

Fast forward about 14 years, and Diavlo is doing a background check on Bucciarati’s squad. After all, they’re going to be escorting his daughter here, it would only make sense to personally check and make sure he wouldn’t need to dispose of them as well.

And finally he gets to the newest member. Giorno Giovanna, age 15, joined the same day the assignment was given.

But under relations, a name catches his eye.

Shiobana.

It was familiar. He’d seen that last name before.

And finally it hits him.

Shiobana was one of the women who had been spotted at a bar with Dio late at night, one of the few times he’d left his mansion.

He looked at Giorno’s records once more.

He had been born with black hair, but it suddenly turned blonde and curly in his teen years.

His biological father was unknown.

He was the right age and his date of birth lined up.

And suddenly all the paranoia from Dio comes hurtling back full force.

He hadn’t known Dio had a son. Once again, even beyond the grave Dio managed to keep secrets. Was this a ploy from the son to come for him? Did he learn of the arrows and seek the source? Was he plotting to overthrow Diavlo to rebuild the force his father had started? Polpo had commit suicide recently, was the son behind it???

On and on and on his mind raced, concocting idea after idea about what Giorno could possibly do

By the end of it, Diavlo comes to a single conclusion

It seemed he was going to have to kill two 15 year olds instead of one

so I was thinking about the Son Of Dio AU

Specifically for how Diavlo would go about killing Giorno :)

Of course he knows that there’s a chance that Giorno would be killed by La Squadra, a pretty high one too considering the fact that from what Diavlo can find, Giorno hasn’t been involved in anything bigger than stealing from tourists. However, this is Dio’s son he’s dealing with and Diavlo is way too paranoid to leave things up to chance

So he sets up a way to get it done

Remember the message that was left in the statue? The one which led them to the island?

Well this time, the message also has this: “The youngest member is to bring me my daughter. They are not permitted to have a cell phone or any weapons, and possession of one will be seen as an act against myself and be killed. If there are any, the remaining members of the group are to take the boat to the provided location and await further orders.”

From the Bucci Gang’s perspective, this is….. honestly a bit stressful, especially for Giorno and Bucciarati. They’re essentially just leaving Giorno with Trish on the island with the Boss who is notorious for Dealing with anyone who tries to learn of his identity. A one on one meeting, especially with a newbie…… honestly it feels more than a little worrying

But they can’t say anything about it. They can’t disobey the Boss’s orders.
