Long time no see!
Seeing your posts recently, a question just popped out from my head: If Simon is raises by Stans in the Falls for decades, how do you imagine people's perceptions on Simon?
Simon is weird, but so is the rest of the town. The kid kinda fits right in. He becomes best friends with Robbie’s dad the second he shows up to school, and the town kinda ends up associating him (and Stan by extension) with another one of the Valentino’s; another one of their friendly neighborhood corpse handlers. This image is further enforced when Simon becomes the local coroner as an adult.
He’s basically just another one of them. As is his dad. Stan ends up having to reach out to some of the townspeople for help, and they become pretty protective of him. They’re one of them. Gravity Falls is a place for the weirdest of peoples and things to come together and live as normally as they damn well please, and it’s the perfect place for someone like Simon to grow up in.
But yeah. The people like him. He becomes just as much of a cemented figure in the town as, say, Lazy Susan or Tyler Cutebiker. He’s just always around doing Simon things and they all appreciate him for it.
On the other hand, however; he’s also known as the kid with the helicopter dad (He constantly gets asked “does your dad know where you are?” As a teenager and he loathes it) and he’s known as the kid that sometimes gets chased by a demon. The demon chasing has slowly become Just Another Event to them.
franny full naming her family is so funny to me (2/2)
At some point, your kid gets too big for you to hold them any longer.
Fortunately, around that time they get big enough to hold you!
My BoB is gonna get to my house on the 29th. I’m absolutely stoked
Finally updated this fic after over a year

Enjoy yall!
As a contrast to Ford, Fiddleford finds all of Simon’s vaguely horrifying tendencies and behaviors extremely charming. Helps that he’s got his own kid as a reference.
He meant what he said.
Stan signs Simon up for school when he’s about six years old. Simon then proceeds to skip to the fourth grade, because he’s got Bill levels of genius.
When thinking about giving Simon a friend, I figured that Robbie’s parents were absolutely perfect for the kid. I mean, come on. There’s literally nobody better.
(I know that technically Greg Valentino was supposed to be a teenager in ATOS, but I’m changing it on the premise that I can do what I want)
