In lieu - using that wrong - I have a Ares son OC whose Russian. And I feel kids who come form countries thats till have people who still cling to the idea of or the retelling of myths/folklore would have a string connection to both Greeks and their home countries gods or whatever it is.

Thsi son of Ares:

- Vladislav (Владислав)

- Born in Russia and moved to America when he was 8

- Has an accent, but his two younger siblings dont because they grew up mostly in America. One was born in the last year of them being in Russia

- His step father/mom's boyfriend type deal, basically the guy between Ares and his current step father, was an abusive monster. Did nearly everything under the sun, short of a few things, to Vlad. (This sparked Vlad's excessive anger issues to a point that was "typical" for Ares children)

- He has one sleeve done (did it to hide the scars from the abuse and fights - got absolutely, and illegally, bodied by a security guard)

- He's on the chubbier side. Hes got muscle, son of Ares hes ready, but he's just always bigger

- This makes him a little self conscious, but don't take him as soft or meek. He will absolutely fight you till someone's going to the hospital if you make fun of him

- Speaking of, he has a temper. Like that "I see red and i won't stop" kinda temper.

- He has a personal vendetta against a son of Apollo, son of Apollo was a dick and Vlad tried to beat him to death in a game of Capture the Flag. He was stopped by taking an arrow to the shoulder and Chiron pulling him off

- He was angry when he was demanded by Apollo to apologize to his son.

- Vlad did not apologize and argued that Apollo's son should apologize for belittling him and making fun of him

- He had clean up mess hall duty for 4 months

- Hes his mother's on, then a Russian, and then a Greek son of Ares. In that order. He will argue that.

- He didn't sacrifice to Ares for nearly a month when he got to camp. (He was 16 when he arrived to camp)

Appearance

- He's tall about 5'10/ 177.8cm (full height 6'1.5/186.9cm)

- weighs around 199, like a wrestlers body type. Heavyweight (sorry terrible a describing body types)

- Right arm is a full sleeve. Paid for it with his own money he earns. It depicts various Russian folklores

- he has scars littering his body. Not super big but enough to make people question somethings, hence the tattoo and all that

- dark brown hair, but natural highlights in the bright sun of summer

- charcoal brown eyes, get a hint of red when he's angry

- He's got a slight tan, hes not a fair skinned but he's not tanned. Seemingly git this from Ares, not his mother.

Building the mythos of the Malabi people for my legend of zelda story

rough concept:

First there exist three goddesses who, together, form the world and then rest. In so doing, they become Hylia. (mirrors the evolution of real world religions that meld several deities into one or more new deities, and also represents the power of the Triforce and how it is connected to Hylia)

While Hylia rests, the god Malanya admires the new world and creates two mighty horses to explore it. the first is Epona. I named the second Calamity but am now renaming it to Aranjagaan (Epona is roman/gaul/celtic. aranjagaan is kalmyk/mongolian--a horse from the famous jangar epic who is described as a masive, powerful red(?) stallion).

Epona is crafted from the wind. She is swift and light, and life springs from her. Aranjagaan is crafted from fire. He is steadfast and powerful and fearsome. Epona’s mane and tail become the grass, and her milk becomes the rivers. Aranjagaan’s hooves cleave great canyons, and his hot breath is the morning fog. They run to the ends of the world, and when they finally grow tired, they lay down and become Mount Lanayru and Death Mountain. From their hills and springs, their children the wild horses spring forth fully formed to Malanya’s delight.

As another Malabi tale, there’s a story about how Hylians were once bald and naked. When Hylia was gone (perhaps locked in battle), there was a bitter winter, and the people prayed for help. Malanya, feeling sympathetic (he’s a god that can be fickle, but is kind to those who love and care for horses), asked the horses to share their manes (in Mongolian mythology it would seem to be the belief that a horse’s soul and power are in their mane, which is why legendary horses have incredible manes and tails). The horses plucked their hairs, and Malanya placed them on the Hylians’ heads. But the winter was longer and harsher than expected. The horses went to the mountains to beg Epona and Aranjagaan for help. So Epona whispered to the Hylians and taught them to make cloth. And Aranjagaan whispered to the Hylians and taught them the arts of fire.

That means, now that I’m thinking about it, that there would be a specific Malabi holiday in the darkest days of winter to celebrate the mercy and friendship of horses, and coming together to survive. 

This also means, since Link’s horse during the war was Epona, that Ganon’s Taobab Giant Horse should be named Aranjagaan after the horse of myth.

Working on world building for LoZ "son of war". I introduced an enemy nation, the Kharon Empire, and I decided to base their looks heavily on the Byzantines. Then I had to decide what the other nations would look like. I like Breath of the Wild's marriage of Arthurian and Japanese aesthetics. I tried to keep that while bringing in old zelda design elements and 15th century fashion (the general era I picked b/c it's the cusp of gunpowder technology and I want the use of bombs but not guns). Zelda's crown is inspired by BotW and the animated series tiara. The girdle is one of the older shield designs. The necklace is BotW. Lorule's culture needed to be a little different. I wanted Hyrule influences without it being a mirror. I ended up going with a Georgian aesthetic to preserve Hilda's design elements. The great thing is I didn't have a motive for the Kharon invasion but now I do. Georgia was part of the Byzantine Empire but often operated as if independent, and the empire's borders fluctuated over the centuries. So Lorule was once part of the Kharon Empire, but Hyrule aided it in a successful fight for independence a couple hundred years earlier. Thus Byzantine design elements in their culture. Now the Kharons want to reclaim their land and punish Hyrule for helping the rebellion. Next I need to sketch up some different soldier outfits (and write more of the story obviously).

Since appearing as a guest MC on DJ Harry Love’s first ever release ‘Ill Lyrical Behaviour’ some 12 years ago I'm definitely recognised more as a DJ, radio broadcaster and for some of the behind the scenes stuff I am involved in. 

To say a release of some sort of original music is overdue is beyond an understatement.

I am fully aware that my debut release may be the only project that is taking longer than ‘Detox’. 2012 is the year that I seriously picked up the pen again and I am now back in the lab in the process of completing a mixtape and an EP.

As much as I hate the term "leak" this version was put on line a little prematurely purely by accident but due to the positive reaction to the track I figured it was cool for it to stay on line... So... 'S.O.W. (Son Of War)' Feat. Sonorous is the second piece of music to drop after 'Yeah Revisited (16 & Pass)' Feat. Sonorous & Tiamat from an as yet unnamed mixtape project. Scored by Sam Zircon ‘S.O.W’ is a fast paced, cinematic, lyrical assault on the senses. The beat provides the vehicle for Sonorous and myself to demonstrate a little bit of descriptive story telling and metaphor that seems lost or wasted on UK rap or grime audiences.
