Oh boy. Okay, this is a text-book example of what people think of when people hate on a ship. Just stolen artwork with a big X over it, along with a description that barely makes sense. Note how this user also even tags Tails, Cosmo, and the ship of Tails and Cosmo together. This person is totally itching for a fight.
Okay, let’s tear this description a new one.

Cosmo is not just ‘a plant’. Cosmo might be related to plants, but the thing is that she is an anthropomorphic one with sentience and intelligence, enough to speak her mind and act like any other person would. You can sort of apply this to Tails, who is an anthropomorphic animal. He looks like an animal, but behaves like a human. If Tails was just “an animal” jails worldwide would be flooded with Furries by now. It’s not that simple.
“Cosmo is a (Metarex) in Sonic X Show”
No, she is not. !!Spoilers for Sonic X here!! Cosmo’s race consists of females and males. Males can transform into giant monsters to defend their home planet, though this causes them to die. When a war broke out, the husband of Cosmo’s mother (Lucas) creates the Metarex using their home planet’s planet egg. Taking a planet egg kills their home planet though, but it allowed Lucas and a group of soldiers to survive in heavy armor. This corrupted them however, turning the Metarex against the entire world, including the ship that the remainder of Cosmo’s kind used to flee. Cosmo was used as a spy by the Metarex unwillingly and certainly didn’t mean to work together with them. What does she do when she finally remembers what happened and realizes that she was being used to track down Sonic’s crew? She screams. Doesn’t seem like she’s working with them to me. !!Spoilers for Sonic X END here!!
Let’s be real here, Tails and Cream are both super adorable and it’s your opinion that you’d rather see them together than with Cosmo, but you’re being blinded by hated for Cosmo for ‘standing in the way’ of Tails and Cream. Cosmo is a great character if you look past her moments with Tails. She may be mostly defenseless, but she is intelligent, diligent, and she tries her best to help those around her. She’s kind and hardworking and not to mention, absolutely cute. Without her, Sonic’s planet and its inhabitants would be dead as early as Episode 53 or so !!Spoilers for Sonic X here!! and her sacrifice makes it even sadder, especially since everyone, including Cream, absolutely loved her. If you wanna see it in a morbid way, just accept that she has passed away so Tails can eventually move on and date Cream as they get older. !!Spoilers for Sonic X END here!! You can still ship Tails with Cream even if the canon says something else. You can write fan-fictions and draw art that comes from you and nobody can take this away from you. You can ship Charmy with Cosmo. Let everyone be happy! It’s sad that you feel like you need to protect your ship using such extreme hatred.
