lmao i fucking loved king arthur! it was hella fun and everybody was hot.

Basically. The way everyone talked about it, I expected it to be awful, but I haven't had this much fun with a movie in a while. :D The dialogues were so funny (way more Guy Ritchie than the trailer led me to believe), I really enjoyed all the characters and their interactions, it was so pretty (some seriously nice special effects), and HOLY SHIT THE SOUNDTRACK. It's possibly the best soundtrack since Pacific Rim. And Excalibur itself was pretty awesome.

And Jude Law makes one excellent, horrifying, tormented, ruthless villain. :D

any meta thoughts on dany being born on a stormy night (aka bringing the storm) and her destiny beyond the wall (white walkers bringing the storm) ?

Hi! What an interesting question! I must confess I always thought that Dany being born during a storm was literally just an authorial device to give her the Very Extra epithet “Stormborn” (in perfect epic fashion and reminiscent, for example, of Aragorn’s various names). But it’s interesting that the show is bringing forward the storm imagery very strongly, and associating it with both Euron “I am the storm” Greyjoy and the White Walkers.

Daenerys being “born to the storm” makes her the perfect nemesis to these evil forces, as she’s figurativelymade of the same thing as them, yet is their polar opposite. And yes, it might foreshadow her final act (she came into this world during a storm, she’ll go down ending another… a bigger, colder, deadlier one).

I also think it’s interesting that Dany is associated very strongly with fire, yet the storm in which she was born and that she considers so intrinsically linked to her identity that she turned it into a title is, of course, connected to water. I think this might be an underrated aspect of her combining the titular dualism (like Jon does), not ice and fire in this case but water and fire.

the HBO hackers did say expressly in their extortion letter that they didn't manage to recover any tangible information about GOT s8 so i would caution everyone to not lose heart out over S8 spoilers just yet. there are a lot of s8 spoilers out there. i've read four sets so far lol.

Thank you for being a voice of reason :) Yes, I’ve also read that there are already multiple alleged leaks out there, contradicting each other. So the most likely explanation for those “leaks” is that someone (more than just one person) took a page from awayforthelads and wrote their own fan script with the right mix of stupid and plausible, piggybacking on the HBO leak for extra credibility. This is what the r/freefolk subreddit has to say about it:

The same page I linked lists all the leaks that came from the HBO hack and at no point it mentions anything from season 8 (whereas it does include the leaked script for 7x05). 

tldr: there’s nothing at this point that suggests the leaks are legit.

The only link I’ve found is this, but it only includes the “leaks” for 8x01 and 8x02. And this youtube channel has a couple videos describing the leaks. If anyone has more sources, feel free to add!
