I saw a post here on tumblr that made some parallels between Sonic and Maria, asking the question What If Sonic is Maria Reincarnated? I LOVED that idea and started seeing SO many parallels between Movie Sonic and Maria, that I had to edit something! Then I saw a gif set of Sonic dancing with Tails from movie 2 and Shadow dancing with Maria in movie 3. I wasn't able to unsee it and started looking for songs that I could use until I landed on Once Upon a December. It's not really a song about reincarnation, but it worked! I added as many parallels as I could between him and Maria! I still can't unsee it!

returning to my AMV-making roots. it's about the girl characters from Sonic. it's about what it's like to be "the girl" in a children's franchise that mostly centers boys.

I put a whole lot of time and effort into this c':

(also no characters were left out on purpose, the ones that are missing are missing because I didn't have enough good clips for them. would've loved to include Marine especially)
