The real Sonic cannon: Sonic F, Snapcube’s Real Time Fandubs and @incorrect-sonic-lore
Was my absolute honour that my good friends of The Hill is Always Greener invited me on to just empty out my nerd brain to an unreasonable degree about my 8-bit'd Sonic childhood!
(Above, a commemorative doodle to right the wrong of me not noticing a certain mid-recording steam notification until well after we were done. It'll all make sense if you listen to the episode).
I've heard of killing a franchise, but this is ridiculous! Sonic has been found dead, and everyone is under suspicion! To figure out just whodunit, it's going to take our crack team of podcast detectives, joined by special guest and visual novel creator Gospel, to find all the clues, interrogate all the suspects, and discover the truth behind what makes this free game from the Sega social media team such a delightful labor of love. And make sure you keep an eye out in the coming weeks for a full playthrough of the game by the cast of Sonic F!
My friends and I started a podcast called "The Hill Is Always Greener" where we talk about being “old” fans of Sonic the Hedgehog. It is chill and nice and I am the editor. We are putting the episodes on our YouTube channel (with amazing thumbnails by Faulerro) and also on Apple Podcasts and your favorite pod catcher.
WHY did no one tell me sonic f was uploading episodes again???
In light of Archie Sonic coming to an end, I wanted to do something special to celebrate their life and thank everyone who put their hearts and souls into making that series as great as it was. Special thanks to GameBuddy, Kage-Ichihashi, and TheWax for helping out on such short notice. You guys are the best.
The "Good Old" Sonic Fandom (feat. Cyberlink420) - Kirblog 5/20/17
Earlier this week, Sega revealed the inclusion of the "Custom Hero" in their upcoming game "Sonic Forces", where at last the dreams of all young Sonic fans can come true by bringing their fan-character to the adventure...as long as they're a cat, dog, wolf, bunny, bird, bear or a hedgehog. I'm excited to play the game, Custom Hero and all, but for this weekend's topic I wanted to dig a little deeper than that. I'm joined by Luke "Cyberlink420" Rizik to talk about our early days in the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom, both offline and eventually its very...interesting involvement online. We go over how the fandom changed and evolved as the franchise grew and the games continued to release, as well as how the many, MANY different sub-sects of Sonic fans both enjoyed and not-so-enjoyed what came ahead. This one goes through quite a number of years for the blue blur, so strap on your red MJ shoes and take a run with us down Memory Lane Zone!

Sonic lore that is the full cannon, a master list (because someone brought up Lythero). @incorrect-sonic-lore (main canon), Snapcube’s real time fandub (events from specific games), lythero (fine details), Sonic F (side stories, also still upset they got rid of most of the series because that was a peak abridged show)
