What's Sonic Overdrive about?? (I'm like 20 out of my Sonic fic phase, but I still love it.)

What Halo Reloaded is to Halo, Sonic Overdrive was to Sonic; a darker & edgier and more modern fan-adaptation of Sonic set within it's own world designed to tell original stories to bring new fans, appeal to casual fans and general-audiences, AND offering something to long-time fans.

Sonic was a super-soldier who didn't have "super-speed" so much as he was "the literal embodiment of movement and kinetic-energy personified in the form of a cyborg".

Robotnik was a Russian Dictator who ruled the Slovak Republic with an army of Terminators.

And Sonic affiliated himself with a team of too-kool-4-skool rebels called "The Freedom Force." Basically just SatAM's Freedom Fighters, but edgier and some of the game cast (other than Tails) are members of the crew.
