If i may, for a broke person like myself, is there any way to support your content other than likes/reblogs to help it reach other people? I'm sure i can find an answer with a few minutes of scrolling, but this will let other people know and save me the effort that I should be directing towards finals tomorrow anyway.
I guess mentioning and showing content to your friends/family outside of the internet!
Some people draw me gifts/fanart and tag me in those posts which helps exchange followers on both sides.
If you want to use an artist’s work as an icon, having credit for it in your description can help (after asking ofc). This is another way to get an artist traction.
Sharing content crossplatform (again, only with permission and credit)- sometimes people don’t have a tumblr or twitter but if they see an artist’s work that they want more of they might make an account!
Likes on tumblr do nothing. They’re bookmarks. They tell the poster: I saw your post and clicked a button to tell you i saw it. Likes on twitter are good. IDK bout likes on Insta
Making positive call out posts of your own! There’s plenty of negative ones so mix it up a little by being like “thIS PERSON COOL”
Reposting in subreddits (agAIN only with permission and credit!!!!)
*whispers* reblogging, leaving comments, getting invested their original content/ocs - this rly makes the artist’s day
thats as much as i can think of off of the top of my head, barring monetary ways and general likes/reblogs.
