When I first started writing my own music about 14 years ago the first person I called to play drums was Eric Zimmerman. Sean Moreno, who at that time was my main musical advocate, came with me to jam with Eric. We spent about an hour excitedly stumbling through my badly played songs (badly played by me, not Sean) and I soon realized that Eric was a very gracious and patient person who very politely jammed with us allowed me to leave with my dignity. Years later after having some experience actually playing out live and perhaps writing better stuff I came to the point of wanting a drummer again. Of course the first guy who came to mind was Mr. Zimmerman. We've been playing together as Son Of Cecil ever since and he's remained a steadfast confidant and source of counter-balance to my sometimes blinded perspectives.
