So I just finished Percy Jackson season 2.
And what the fuck are they doing. What are they doing.
Like I get the impulses and the decisions, I understand how they may perhaps make sense from a screen writing POV. But they absolutely DO NOT work better than the plot of the novel (I say that like I’ve read Sea of Monsters in the last 10 years. I haven’t lol).
But really? Really?
And I’m sorry but they DON’T HAVE BLACKJACK TALKING IN PERCY’S HEAD?????? That takes out so much of their relationship and the comedic value.
And the whole thing with them knowing ahead of time what the fleece *might potentially* do and reworking it so that it ‘makes sense’ and Zeus is an absolute arsehole of a father???
No. Just no. Actually bad writing there. I get it’s cause someone may have said to Rick ‘oh yeah Zeus should have had a better reason for not saving her/turning her into a tree’.
Hard disagree. The whole point is that Zeus follows the old rules. That he’s way more like the traditional version of the gods.
No! Not cool. Not happy with that.
However, I hope wherever Imaginatrix, the fic writer who wrote ‘All of You, All of Me (Intertwined)’, my second favourite Percy Jackson fic of all time, who wanted an English Thalia, I hope you’re enjoying it to the fullest extent.
