FINALE
Castaways, Jury, Finalists: Welcome, to the Survivor: Sonoran Skies Finale! Before we get to the reading of the votes, I just want to thank all of the players for a great season. We started and ended the game with med-evacs, had a player resurrected back into the game with the Phoenix Idol, clutch immunity wins, frail and strong alliances, and it was a wild ride. Thank you for making my first Survivor game a pleasure to host.
Now, to the votes. It all comes down to this. After more than 40 days, challenges, tribal councils, alliances and 16 opponents, only 2 of you remain. RHEA and ANDIE, tonight you want to see your name on these parchments. These are votes for a winner. For a final time, I’ll read the votes.
First vote...
Rhea and Angie, both play lists sucked. Angie you put more effort into yours. You get my vote. Rhea, Countdown is hands down my favorite Beyonce song of all time but....... Ariana Grande for the rest of the Playlist, who am I? Bye.
Next vote...
I don't want to vote for either of them. But if i have to, I vote for Rhea.
Rhea, if you have any spare time, and you want to give us all a nickname from any literature, or multiple nicknames, go for it!!! It would totally give me more books to read.
Queen of Arizona!
The winner of Survivor: Sonoran Skies, the $25 prize and the title of Sole Survivor...
Congratulations, RHEA, by a vote of 8-1, you are the Sole Survivor! You outwitted, outplayed and outlasted all the others, and are the winner of Survivor: Sonoran Skies!
FINAL TRIBAL COUNCIL: THE FINAL 2′S RESPONSES & CLOSING STATEMENTS
JURY, below you will find the Final 2′s responses to your questions and statements, as well as closing statements of their own. You are using this information to help you make a big decision. Your votes will ultimately decide who is the Sole Survivor of Survivor: Sonoran Skies and the winner of the $25 prize. The responses are sorted based on the juror who asked the question. Under each juror’s name are the finalists’ responses.
RHEA: Hey Shannon, thanks for the sweet words honestly. I think it means a lot to me that you said I make you feel happier. I hope that my answers to the other questions highlight that my gameplay is one that you can respect. I did try hard, and I hope I can get your vote. I really do miss you, and wish we could have played together in this game!
Sadly, I’m not sure my answer to your question will get your vote, partially because I don’t know what you’re asking exactly, and you have me a subject I don’t know enough about to give people a nickname. I’m not sure how I can justify the nicknames. I’m not even sure what I’d nickname them honestly, so that is like hard to do. So, I’ll just associate people with characters maybe? I don’t know. I honestly am not well versed in Harry Potter enough. Had I gotten literature in general then I would be able to do that. So yeah, I hope this is good enough. Nic (The host) : Draco Malfoy, mostly because the actor is attractive, Nic is attractive, and everyone is attracted to Nic. Junior: Moaning Mrytle, Junior was kind of a ghost in this game. Jen: Hedwig. I think owls are cute, and Jen is cute! Shannon: Hermione, because you’re smart, and will put boys in their place whenever you need. Savannah: Ginny Weasley. Lexi: Lily Potter, Lexi screams MOM to me. Jeff: Sirus Black? I have no idea. Andie: Dobby. This isn’t an insult. Andie seems like a younger brother, therefore small, and is like always willing to protect people. Luke: Ron Weasely, I love Ron. Ron is funny, goofy and makes me laugh, he can also be really sweet, and is sensitive. Andreas and Nic: The Weasely Twins, because, for some reason, I sometimes find they resemble each other. Dan: Dumbledore. He hosted Harry Potter Big Brother, so I associate him with that. Genki: Cedric Diggory. He died pretty early, and so did you.
ANDIE: jennifer lawrence (you) & bradley cooper (me) in the movie silver linings playbook, they have a very love hate relationship (mostly jennifer hating bradley cooper) but yeah you should watch it sometime its a great flick
ANDIE: A. if i knew i was going to make it to the end i definitley wouldve worked on my jury managment more, i also would've tried to have more loyal tendencies with the other side of merge. B. i dont understand this question
RHEA: Honestly, even though I was a part of this alliance, I didn’t want it to work out. I’d like to think that I would have still made FTC regardless if the alliance worked out or not. The alliance of 6 had cracks, mainly Josh vs. Dan, and because they were obviously a pair, Luke was also worried. The cracks in the alliance made me so excited. Josh, Jeff and I had made a sub alliance, and the vote that Nic left, the plan was actually going to be for Dan to go. I wanted so hard for the alliance to disband, and have someone like Dan go earlier than he did. I think had that happened, it would have made Luke and I even closer, there would have been no distractions for him, on a game level, with Dan, and I would have had that second super tight ally, earlier than it happened. I also think I would have played a little more villainous. I would have put myself in a spot where it was known that I could be the one to come to make moves. I would have forced myself to be vocal, because I had to. I would not have had people who would make targets of themselves before me. I think my game would have been much rougher, and way more in your face. I think I played a good game, and it got me here, but if the alliance had crumbled, as I hoped it would, my game would have been way more vocal, way more pronounced, and more bold. I think it would have made getting to FTC a harder fight because I would have put myself out there more. I think I would have ran the risk of getting votes at Tribal Council because I would have been more in your face. I would have been more likely to flip sides completely and just pick off the remainder of the 6 person alliance.
ANDIE: imma be honest here, i'm new to this whole survivor finalist shit & just finalist shit / gameplay in general, but i have no idea what the fuck jury managment is, how are you supposed to make the people you plot againts in a game like you, and i didn't message you after the game because of jury managment, i messaged you because i genuinley cared about you as a friend so im sorry if my gameplay came off as bitchy or dishonest because i really wasn't trying for it to be.
RHEA: I’ve only done the villainous type of game twice in all of my playing of Survivor, and while it was so much fun, it was also really hard, and my intent wasn’t to be a villain in this game. So, upon reflecting on your question, I realized there was an instance where I was a little more of a villainous player. Even though there was one solid moment where I was being villainous, I was always playing for myself. There wasn’t a moment in this game where I did something that I wasn’t happy with. Everything I did in this game was for me. Did I try to make sure I helped my allies in any way I could, absolutely! I was always playing for me though. I guess my main villainous, my only arguably, was the vote you left on actually. Initially, Josh said that he didn’t trust Luke and Dan, and so Dan decided he wanted Josh out. Jeff and myself didn’t want that, and frankly, I saw Josh as a more loyal number than Dan. I talked to Luke about it, tried to reassure him that everything was going to be fine and that Josh didn’t need to be a target. I was full and ready to turn on the four, that was myself, Dan Luke and Jeff, to save Josh. It was in my best interest for Dan to go sooner, rather than later. I was fine flipping because I knew it would help my game. It would also show the other side that I was willing to take risks, and be bold when need be. However, I was then given wind that Nic, you, were telling Dan everything. So, realizing how much of a mess this was becoming, I realized, Nic you had to go. At that point, I didn’t care what anyone else wanted, I didn’t care if I was the only one voting you, it was going to happen. You risked having my game be exposed, you almost royally screwed me with Dan, and I needed to be careful about that. I was playing for myself this entire game, as I already stated, but this tribal in particular was the one where I didn’t care who was doing what, I made all executive decisions for myself.
ANDIE: i actually did plan to disband from my alliance and make moves for myself, but i figured if i did that then the jury would be just as bitter as they are with me now so whats the difference. it was just really hard being close with both sides of the merge because either way people still would have taken offense to the moves i made? you feel?
RHEA:
Luke: I love Luke’s personality. He’s the sweetest person I’ve ever met, and I think he is someone I will be friends with for a long time. I can open up to him about so much and I trust that he keeps it to himself. He’s the biggest sweetheart. Luke was an important ally for my in this game, and having him was great. He was someone I could trust, and someone I knew I could have in this game when I needed. He was someone that was going to be a vote for me, and I trusted that we’d vote together. Dan: You’re pretty! I think Dan, you helped me by being such a big target. You were someone who had put his trust in me, but I wisely put limited trust in you, and you were smart, you came to me if you needed votes, and I gave you what you needed to hear. Josh: I love how funny Josh can be. He’s the life of the party truly. I think Josh coming back helped me because he was a number in my corner, and I knew odds are he wouldn’t want to vote me out. Lexi: I love how you just have an emjoi ready for everything. You’re the greatest in the chats we’re in. I wish we spoke more one on one. You helped my game because you were someone my alliance would want out before they would think of turning on their own. Savannah: From what I gather, you’re a sweet girl, and I’m sure you’re awesome!! In this game, like Lexi, you were outside the alliance and you were someone who would go before me. Andreas: I love how vocal you are, and that you don’t shy away from speaking up. I admire that and wish I had more of that in me. No one walks over you, and that’s great. You were someone in this game who made yourself a huge target and that helped me out because you were the easy vote off. Genki: You’re someone I wish I got to know better, but you left before I had the chance. You were someone I was hoping I’d work with, but that didn’t get to happen. You helped my game because I had a feeling if you lasted longer, you’d go after other people before you went after me. Shannon: You’re the sweetest person ever. I love talking to you, and miss you dearly. Your spirit is so bright and I love you for that! We didn’t get to be together in this game, so I’m not sure you were able to really help me. Nic: I love how kind you are to me. It’s nice to have someone be so kind. You were the one I was hoping to make the #bigmoves with, but sadly, you shot yourself in the foot. I wish that we could have made bigger moves together.
ANDIE:
SHANNON - i really admired shannons personality she is a great gal & she can be bitter with me all she wants but i still think shes great even if she does want to slap me, her impact on my game other then the fact that the jury is bitter againts me wasnt that much, i just really liked talking to her and im glad i got to meet her. GENKI - Genki I really enjoyed talking with you the first few days of the game when we shared a tribe, your lip sync was also fantastic but we really didnt talk enough for be to know much about your personality! You impacted by game by being the deciding vote of which side of the tribe I chose to align myself with. ANDREAS - i really admire your honesty and boy you don't hold back huh! but anyways, i really admire your sense of humor also, our snapchats were fleek'd! and i hope we can still be friends after this game is over, you impacted by game by, you having my mind flip flopping from what side i was going to vote with in merge, you also really did help me pre-merge with staying safe when we were on the same tribe. NIC- I'm going to be honest here i really didn't talk with you that often to say something genuine about your personality or gameplay but we were in a big brother mini together and i like your voice if that counts! LEXI - U fuqqed me up girl, you had me questioning my alliances loyalty hardcore JOSH WAS ABOUT TO COME FOR ME. Apparently you said that tonopah was coming for him and josh assumed it was me :/ but anyways I think you're a great gal outside of this game and ur a great host of trashybb (season 2 icon) SAVANNAH - I love you queen, You're a great girl and I'm glad I got to meet you in this game, you're super loveable and fun to talk to! you impacted my game cause we were tight girl and i definitley thought we were sticking together in merge, but I don't know what happened honestly as soon as merge came i was a hot mess and i admit that, i love u JOSH - josh u are an icon, even though you tried to come for me a few times im glad I got to meet you on a game level, i really admire your unique personality & you impacted my game....well you just stopped caring but you couldve totally gotten to FTC instead of me. DAN - I am hella sorry for everything I've done and I know i was a fake :( but you have very nice competition skills and i really wish i had that god given talent you flash game icon! you impacted by game because i was scared as fuck of you, You were just a really big threat to me and it was nothing personal when I voted you out, you wouldve won! im sorry ahhh Luke - You're a super chill person but the only time you ever talked to me was when you needed something from me cough cough when I won those last 2 immunties, thats the only time you had ever talked to me since day 1 of merge.
RHEA: Hi Savannah, yes I agree that we both were to blame for lack of communication for sure. I must admit, it’s very hard for me to initiate conversations with people I’m not already friends with. It really wasn’t personal toward you, it’s just me. So, I am sorry that we didn’t speak, I’m sure you’re a wonderful girl, and if there is one thing I regret in this game it’s that I didn’t take this as a chance to get to know you. If my lack of communication is what costs me the game, then I understand that completely. However, I would like to think that it wouldn’t. I believe I was talking to Nic, if it wasn’t Nic then it was in a confessional, where I said if I spoke to “the other side” that they wouldn’t trust me, so I felt like it was a lost case for me. I was associated with the majority alliance, and as much as I didn’t want to be in that situation, leaving it essentially put me way on the bottom. I think my lack of communication was because I just felt like it was a lost cause and that I would never be trusted, by any of you. I want to say yes, of course I knew I was making F3, but honestly, no, I didn’t think I would. I wanted to from day 1, and that was my goal, and here I am, but I don’t think I was certain I’d make it here. Survivor contains a lot of variables, and honestly I was expecting the vote to be flipped on me when Dan was voted out. I sort of felt like with Luke, Jeff and Dan, I was at the bottom, and that the three of them were closer to me than I was with them, and Andie had won immunity. I really thought my game was over then. I think jury management is such a tricky thing, because it’s hard to find a balance between playing the game you want to play, and playing in a way that makes the jury happy. I mean, I would have talked to people a little more, and perhaps been a little less shy, but it’s hard to know what you would have done, once you know how things have already gone. I just think I would have spoken to people more than I did.
ANDIE: I'm not confident in my jury management at all because that's all im getting dragged for, yeah i'm pretty sure people have changed their opinion on me and it kinda hurts but i guess its what i deserve for my shitty gameplay.
RHEA: HAVE FUN WITH THIS PLAYLIST!

RHEA: Dan, you may say that voting out Jeff was the move that could have won me the game, but it was also the move that could have prevented me from getting to FTC. No one wants to take the person who was the reason “the shepherd” was voted out. Yes, would that have been a HUGE thing I could sell to the jury? OF COURSE it was. That being said, I may not be sitting here right now if I had done that. Dan, I lied to you because I wasn’t sure how I was voting until closer to the end. I wasn’t sure if I was going to vote you or Jeff out, because it was a really big decision for me to make. And it is hard for me to tell someone “you’re going” because that just isn’t me, and that isn’t what I do. I hate telling people they’re leaving because it would make me feel pretty horrible I could have told you, but it just was hard for me to just say it. Call it cowardly, fine, but, it just wasn’t in my nature. Like I mentioned, jury management is hard for me, because I feel like the balance is really hard. I don’t think my jury management was poor, per se, nor do I think it was amazing. I know that I should have spoken to people more, but I also knew what position I was in, and I knew how suspicious it would be if suddenly I just started talking to people. I know the jury decides who wins, and that’s always something you keep in mind, and I get that my skills with the jury may not have been the best. However, I think that my game is worthy of winning. I hope you can see that. I think I played the game according to where I was, and spoke to the people I needed to speak to, and only revealed what needed to be revealed. I didn’t outstretch myself because I didn’t have to. I did what I needed to to do to get ahead, and here I am, in FTC.
ANDIE: lemme just say now that you break it all down to me yeah i feel like a shit person, but messaging and being social with someone is definitley a two way street here so i dont think its right for you to be calling me out for that when you did the same exact thing to me, and honestly? i really wish i could answer your question but i cant!! :// hope we can work things out after this game
RHEA: Hi Luke! <3 I want to address a few things before getting to your actual question. First off, I don’t think not winning immunities should be what counts the most. I came close to winning 2 immunities, and back pre-merge, I pretty much won the challenge for our tribe, so there was effort in challenges. So, I was trying to win these challenges, so just because I didn’t win, it doesn’t mean I didn’t do anything. Also, you and Dan both made comments about me following Jeff, or being his sheep, but I wasn’t. I don’t know how Jeff views me, but I viewed him and I as equals. Jeff and I would discuss a lot in Pms, and always check in with each other to make sure we were on the same page. Jeff and I had equal say in what went on, the only difference was that Jeff was more vocal than I was. Jeff is being seen as the brains and I the mind controlled groupie, but that’s not what it was at all. Jeff and I had an alliance from day 1, and for us to both get to the end, is actually incredible. Also, you say I’m Jeff’s follower, but I actively chose for him to be here. He wouldn’t be here in FTC without me right now, whereas, I could have made it here without him, so please just think about that for a moment . I waited until about 10 minutes to tell you for a few reasons. It was a strategic move to wait until then to tell you. 1. It was hard for me to tell you I was voting you out. It was something I wish I didn’t have to tell you, but I couldn’t stand not telling you at all. It was hard for me to work up the courage to tell you, because I had been working with you for so long. I put myself in your shoes and I know how much it would suck to be told you were leaving, but I also realized not telling you was worse. 2. I was given wind that you went to Andie, and tried to get him to vote me out. That caught me off guard completely, and I was a little hurt by it. I wasn’t actively trying to get you voted out. If it was a plan you had, to get Andie to vote me, Jeff voted for you, and then You and I voted Jeff and he would have left, it would have been amazing, had you actually clued me in. When I was told that you were trying to get me out, I was so upset. Had I told you before 10 minutes, I may have gotten really angry with you, and that would have helped no one. If anything, I ran the risk of you having the time to secure Andie’s vote, and actually get me out. It was very much planned to wait until then to tell you. Honestly, I wasn’t entirely sure if I would ever vote out Jeff, but I did think about it. Voting you out was the hardest thing I had to do, and honestly I thought about it. I thought about keeping you, and even spoke about it with Andie. I think two things sealed your fate, your constantly saying how you deserved it, which completely made me worried because you seemed to be ready to sell yourself to the jury. And yes, while, I like to lose against the best, I felt like you just had something going for you that was impossible to beat.
ANDIE: 0_0
Now, the Final 2 have closing statements for the jury:
I'm not really sure why y'all are acting so malicious to me, it's a fuckin game and I don't care whether you support my gameplay or not, the point of survivor is to get to the end, correct? my gameplay was cutthroat and maybe not the most appealing to the jurors but I don't give a fuck, I did what I had to do to get to the end and yeah this probably will effect my chances of winning (not like I had one anyways) but I think some of the shit y'all said in your questions to me were uncalled for, point. blank. period. maybe I should just start excessively start spewing rainbows out of my fucking mouth to get a jury vote or two. The game survivor is about DECEPTION, and I get it people don't like to be lied to! Don't play survivor hunty! This is what the game is about and it's stressful to me because the 3 words literally in the title of survivor are, outwit, outplay, outlast, and I think I definitely think that all 3 of those terms apply to my gameplay whether you like to admit it or not, it may have not been in the most respectful and polite way but HELLO?????? It's survivor I'm not gonna be the most truthful bitch I can be, it's the point of the god damn game, so I'm sorry if you were offended by my gameplay (not really) But I think you guys need to suck it up and realize I wasn't playing for YOU guys to get to the finals, I was playing for MYSELF. And yeah there were definitely flaws in my game where maybe I lied, or I wasn't social with a person, BUT THIS GAME IS A GAME ABOUT DECEPTION/LYING and sociability is a 2 way street shocker!
I hope that I was able to show you that I had the best game between Andie and myself. I really played the best that I could. I tried, and used niceness as a viable strategy to get me ahead. I could have spoken to the jury more, and I wish I had. However, I tried my hardest and think I deserve to win. I made the moves that were the most beneficial for me and made the decisions that helped me the most. I did what I could, and what worked for me. I hope you find it within yourself to vote for me, and see that I deserve to win this game. If not, I respect your decision and no hard feelings!
Thanks Nic, Junior and Jen for an awesome season! I'm sad it's over!
JURY, when you vote this time, you are voting FOR A WINNER. Your votes are due to the BLOG or through SKYPE by Friday, May 13, 2016 at 9 PM EST.
ANNOUNCEMENT
JURY, in a moment you will hear the responses of the final castaways to your questions and statements. However, before we get to that, there is a very important announcement:
Due to personal reasons, JEFF has decided not to submit responses to any of the questions he was asked. This means that he can not participate in Final Tribal Council. Since he can not participate, he has been pulled from the game. I have talked with him about this, he understands, and he has made the decision to leave the game. We are all thinking of him at this time and wishing him well. He is the game’s 2nd Runner-Up. JURY, please do not speak with Jeff about anything game-related until the final votes have been read, thank you.
This means that RHEA and ANDIE are the Final 2. They have answered your questions and made closing statements of their own, which are coming shortly.
