The Prince of Moths has long been the guardian of the emerald glades of the Fey burial grounds. A quiet and ancient denizen of the Feywild, mortals and Fey alike avoid him whenever possible, for his mind has long been muddled by time and isolation. He and his moths wander between the sentinel trees, lonely and somberly hunting the Graves for company. Those who dare sojourn into the Graves without a Fey guide rarely return. Only three have escaped the glades, but the horrors of the glade followed them. They spoke in manic riddles, and wailed about the sound of a strange whistling following them. Mason did not expect the archaeological dig site to be so eerie when he arrived with his class for their study abroad trip, but he had always dreamed of being an archaeologist, and didn’t want to pass up the chance. When he accidentally left his laptop in the dig site during the day, he knew he had to go back for it, and discovered that the medieval ruins were far more extensive and magical than he had noticed during the day. ——————————————————————— Inktober day 3: Lantern. Prompt: Exoskeleton So. It looks like I’m actually doing Inktober. I wanted to try and be more consistent with making things to post. I’m doing it digitally because that’s how I usually make comics and I wanted to get more comfortable “inking” the pages, as well as getting less reliant on color to make pictures cool. I was off and on about doing Inktober this year. I was going to try and finish my Countdown to Samhain Inktober from previous years, but when I saw this prompt list, I was hooked. I have had a goal to draw more guys for the last few years (so far unsuccessful lol) So this prompt list seemed like a wonderful start.
