I honestly didnt think id still have the motivation to finish this, but i did, I present the stinks

Hi hi i really like Dante's design does he have lore n stuff? 👀

(This will be long, apologizes in advance) But believe it or not, he was never supposed to have lore or be a serious character of mine!

(Story time, Dante was a character I made back in 2022 mostly out of my love for EXE's, as ive been obsessed with sonic.exe stuff since forever! And I really wanted an exe to call my own, so I figured hey, maybe I should create my own exe guy for myself! (It had been 2 whole years since ive drawn him since 2022, I recently found his old ref and had the urge to draw him again, and now here we are, I made a whole tumblr page just for him 😭 and I've been debating on making this tumblr as if he owns/runs it haha...maybe...unless...?))

I did grow attached to him heavily as of this year, which made me start thinking of lore for him, so, the current plan I have, lore wise, is to give him some sort of redemption arc type of story, if that makes sense? Like, what ive been thinking/planning for the past few days is that Dante found his way to Sonic's world somehow, and knowing how his own kind can be/is (aka the EXE's) he worries that the minute he's spotted by anyone, that he'd get attacked n what not, cause of course, who wouldn't immediately be on guard when seeing any kind of EXE?

So he mostly stayed in hiding in Sonic's world for a good long while. But, of course, he does have that side of him that can be scary and horrifying looking, as if its like an instinctual thing. Cause me personally? I always loved the idea like, the EXE is good, but no matter what, they will always have that instinct within them no matter how good they are, its now just the matter if said EXE is strong enough to keep such instincts away and at bay, I just always loved stuff like that.

He also wants to try to be like a regular mobian, he wants to live among them as if he was just..well, normal like the others. (A difficult task considering his kinds reputation, aka the EXE's) But he tries his best regardless to live among them. At this current moment, I of course made his partner the one and only Sonic, cause they're so very silly and stinky together, and Sonic is Dante's main support, being the only person currently to give Dante a chance to prove that he wasnt, nor did he want to be, like the EXE's that caused trauma or crazy horrific disasters.

Dante also does befriend Sonic's friends at some point, but they will always be wary of him, he took no offense of course. But Sonic's friends do their best to trust Dante, for Sonic's sake and Dante's own.

(This is so messy, I am HORRIBLE at explaining things perfectly, but I hope it explains at least a decent amount about how his character is 🥀)

(Hence the current art im doing, showing how his scarier form looks like, a glimpse at best IF he isnt able to hold back his 'natural' instincts as an EXE)
