This week I found one of my old Little People dolls in the fireplace under my desk, and it made me very happy. Her name is Sonya Lee, she was my favourite of the Little People when I was a kid. She’s now sitting up on my desk among my Pokemon figurines :)

Telus' three-episode docuseries follows Korean-Canadian friends, journalist Hannah Sung and Lee herself, on a tour across Western Canada to learn more about ocean conservation through food and culture. Their focus turns to overfishing, sustainability, and climate change, told through some favourite traditional Korean dishes. It's a light, breezy, but informative exploration of our broader immigrant culture, told through cuisine and ocean science.

I just went down a rabbit hole.

I didn’t know that they still made Little People. I went and got my favorite doll, I had like three versions of her. Turns out, she had a canon name all along.

I am currently tracking down my old sets. I had parts of the carnival (part of the fair and the roller coaster with the merry-go-round), the school, and maybe something else.
