I didn't realise/know that this documentary series (which I was a consultant for this Garden Route episode, that features my research) was aired on SABC3/S3 (in South Africa) earlier this year!! I'm so glad it was able to reach a larger audience with primetime public broadcasting!
Brief shot of one of my plover loves at 0:02-0:03 in the promo above…& the whole episode (← this source not location restricted, but use AYOR) is worth watching, but if you're interested, the segment on the birds & my research (including a rare appearance by a very blonde fieldwork version of yours truly!) starts at 30:43.
You can also find it through various streaming services; currently on:
Amazon Prime Video
Apple TV+
NowTV (sky nature)

If you're a professional wrestling fan, WWE: Unreal on Netflix is a fascinating peek behind the curtain. But if you're not a wrestling fan, I think you'll find this series absolutely incredible because it reveals just how much goes into actually putting together storylines and shows, the logistics of the crazy live production of WWE programming, and the intricate planning that goes into individual matches, massive events like WrestleMania, and every little bit of what is eventually shown on-the-air. If you don't know much about pro wrestling and watch WWE: Unreal, you're going to be shocked at how much goes into telling these stories in the ring (and probably surprised at how important the referee is during a wrestling match!).
Whether you're a wrestling fan or not, I encourage you to check out WWE: Unreal on Netflix right now. Some old-school fans and wrestlers think that it exposes secrets about the wrestling business, but I don't know how anyone could watch WWE: Unreal without being more impressed about and interested in the process of creating WWE programming and appreciative of what the talent are doing every time they step into the ring. The only problem I had with the series is that there's only five episodes!
