#SonyArtisan David McLain shows 4K magic shooting with the #SonyAlpha #A7s...
Stop by the Sony Booth at PhotoPlus Expo to see the latest gear and hear talks by Sony Artisans Andy Katz, Robert Evans, Vivienne Gucwa, Jeff Berlin and me
Most of you know, somehow, that I work in cameras (he said with a grin). Specifically Sony cameras. Those of you who don't know... are probably not reading this. :) It happens that this time of year brings us not just Halloween and terrible third party horror movie remakes, but also PhotoPlus Expo, one of the truly great camera shows worldwide, especially for the photographers themselves. A lot of shows are really there so companies like my dear Sony can wow and impress in the hopes that the product makes it on the shelves... PhotoPlus is great because it puts the gear in the hands of the people that matter, including you, if you can make it.
At Sony we're blessed to have some of the brightest stars in the photo industry working with our gear, and who are willing to speak on it in ways that will actually inspire you. If you happen to be in New York on Halloween weekend (why not? I mean, really, why not?), you'll have no excuse not to come see us at the Javitz and listen to the our Artisan core talk about why they do what they do. It's always a privilege and I guarantee something new will be learned.
Check out Brian Smith's blog, which I have cheerfully linked. He'll have the PhotoPlus info you're looking for... but you'll also get considerably more out of it if you stick around just long enough to read one or two more of his entries.
Camera nerds in the Pacific Northwest celebrate your passion/obsession/blatant addictions at Kenmore Camera's expo coming up in November several major speakers are slated among other seminars (including one taught by me), and any major manufacturer associated with the photo industry who matters will be there. A weekend worth looking into, certainly. See you there.
