party’s over ✧ an original story

after a party gone wrong at a prestigious university, five students are suspected of the murder of ryder harrington: deliah monroe, ryder’s girlfriend, eric west, ryder’s math tutor, soobin kim, ryder’s enemy, and tyler roberts, ryder’s best friend. 

with their only obvious link being ryder, and the party itself, it’s a race against the clock to figure out who the killer is before they all face the consequences of a crime only one of them committed.

BACKGROUND!

Soobin Kim was born in Seoul, Korea to Seungcheol Kim and Yoojung Min, but they moved to the U.S. when he was three years old.

For most of Soobin’s life, his parents have been just barely above the poverty line, and because of this he sees himself as the person who has to “make it” so they will no longer struggling to make ends meet.

AT PLEASANT VALLEY!

Like Eric, Soobin is at the college on a scholarship. He got a full ride, though he does have an on campus job calling alumni to ask for donations.

The general population of Pleasant Valley does not like Soobin. They blame his cold, uncaring attitude, and his lack of social skills. It’s poorly hidden racism and ableism, your honor.

CONNECTION TO RYDER HARRINGTON!

Ryder and Soobin, prior to the murder, were known for their anomisity towards each other. Initially, Soobin had no problem with him, but he did disagree with a lot of Ryder’s opinions, and made this very well known, especially in class discussions. Because of this, Ryder decided they were mortal enemies, and made it his mission to pick with Soobin whenever he could.

POSSIBLE MOTIVE(S)!

Along with the previously mentioned rivalry, Soobin’s father worked under Ryder’s father as his personal assistant. When Ryder found this out, he got his father fired by lying that he’d saw him stealing from their home when he visited briefly. It’s not a stretch to say that Soobin could be pushed to the edge after this incident, and decide to get rid of Ryder once and for all.

- U.S Polo called me into work (9:30-1:30pm)

Shipment.. Shipment.. FREAKING SHIPMENT! hahah well I guess it wasn't all that bad. Originally I was supposed to have the day off, but I got called in because a coworker called in sick. MO MONEY.

- After U.S Polo I went to work at TMW (2:00-9:15pm)

Prom.. Prom.. Prom.. FREAKING PROM!

High school children.. High school children.. FREAKING High school children!

I know it's only been about 2 years since i have been out of high school, but damn.. Some of these little Children are ridiculously rude.. Your mother and father are paying over a $100 for your prom tux, HAVE THE DECENCY TO SAY THANK YOU.

- After work I went to the gym. (9:35-10:50pm)

I jogged for about 30 minutes and lifted for about 45 minutes.
