ever had a song stuck in your head the whole day? annoying right? imagine having a song in your head that you never heard before because your soulmate is singing it. now imagine it’s in a completely different language, one you know nothing of.
“mom said you have to take me to this fan sign, she got stuck at work.” yn groaned as their little sister walked into her room.
“what did i tell you about knocking?” your sister rolled her eyes.
“i’m sorry, will you get dressed and take me?”
“what kind of band is this?” you said as you opened your closet.
“a kpop band, dress casual but cute.” you rolled your eyes as your sister left the room.
“i’m the older one here, don’t tell me what to do,” you mumbled. the song in your head started up again and you groaned, trying to push it back down.
“of course my soulmate speaks a language i don’t know and keeps singing this song!” you whispered yelled as you changed, frustrated.
“bella! are you ready?!” you asked, grabbing your phone, keys, and wallet.
“yes!” your sister ran down the stairs in a txt? shirt and jeans.
“is that them?” you asked as you turned the lights off and opened the door.
“yes i love them.” she started gushing over the members but yn tuned out, instead listening to the song they’ve heard a hundred times.
as they drove to the venue, you mumbled,” i got crown on my head.”
“what?” your sister turned to you which caused yn to raise their eyebrows. “what did you say?”
“oh, nothing. it’s just a lyric out of this song my soulmate won’t stop singing.” you sighed as you merged into the next lane. “it’s like one of the only english lines i can hear in it.”
“your soulmate isn’t american?” your sister questioned.
“i guess not, either that or they listen to some music in other languages.” you shrugged,” and they won’t stop singing this one song, i basically have it memorized.”
“wow. that’s crazy... hey is it okay if i play the music from the band we’re going to see?” yn nodded her head.
and then you heard it, the beginning of the song you’ve heard in your head for the past three months, it slowly getting completed throughout the time. “wait... what is this?”
“it’s the song txt debuted with. it’s good right? i love it.” your sister started singing the lyrics, completely oblivious to her older sibling’s surprised face.
“where are we going to again?”
“a fan sign.”
“what is that?” your sister explained it to you as you pulled up to the venue.
“i was lucky to be able to get two spots... i actually put your name instead of mom’s so this worked out great.”
“why did you put my name? what if mom came instead?”
she shrugged,” i don’t know. something told me i should put yours. now let’s go! can’t be late!”
you walked into the center where it was being held and was shocked at the amount of people. there were five empty seats with name tags in front of them, you skimmed through them all, as if it would help you figure out which was your soulmate.
“you meet each one?”
your sister nodded. “here, you have them sign a page in this album usually.” she handed her sibling the second copy. “now we wait.”
it felt like years until their numbers were called up.
“hi! i’m yeonjun.” the boy smiled at you and put his hand out for the album. yn gave it to him, a confused smile on their face.
“okay listen i know this is going to sound crazy but i think one of you guys are my soulmates and i don’t know what to do.”
yeonjun stopped signing his name and looked up at you. “why do you think that?” he asked, curious. it wouldn’t be the first time he heard that.
“i- your song. gown? it’s been in my head for three months, it slowly getting finished. i never understood the lyrics or even knew the song till my sister played it on the way here.”
yeonjun laughed,” do you mean crown?” you blushed and nodded. “well i can tell you aren’t a fan which means you probably aren’t lying. well there’s one way to find out, sing.”
“what?” you looked confused. “if you sing a song and it’s in my head, then i’ll know.”
“you’re smart, okay uh.” you started mumbling/singing a song by rex orange county. he shook his head and frowned. he turned to soobin and told him what was going on. you moved over to him and repeated the same process. he gave you a sad smile and shook his head. once you got to the last member, you felt a little hopeless. maybe it wasn’t one of them.
“hi, i’m taehyun. you’re gonna sing a song right?” you laughed a bit and nodded. here goes nothing, you thought. you sang the lyrics to a troye sivan song, changing it up and hoping he wouldn’t shake his head.
his eyes widened. “sing a different song.” you looked at him, your heart racing and did what he asked. he stood up from his seat, smiling. “i hear it! i heard both of them!” the boys turned to the two of them and smiled, clapping.
taehyun turned to security and told them what happened, which allowed them to let you up on stage. he grabbed the mic and informed his fans what was going on, since many of them held confused faces. they cheered for the both of them and yn locked eyes with their little sister who was jumping up and down and screaming.

your best friend, soobin, decided it’d be fun to take you, his very awkward shy younger best friend to a halloween party.
“what?” he yelled, not being able to hear you over the music playing. you shook your head at him and held onto him tighter as he moved past all the people into the kitchen.
“here, have some water.” he said, passing you a cold bottle from the fridge. you watched people come in, grab solo cups, pour anything they could into them and walk out. your nose scrunched up in digust and soobin laughed at you.
“aye! soobin!” you both turned around to see two boys there, both smiling at you. “is this yn?” one asked. soobin nodded and pushed you forward.
“i’m beomgyu.” “and i’m yeonjun.”
“hi.” you gave a slight wave and soobin placed his hand on your shoulder.
“where’s huening kai and taehyun?”
beomgyu rolled his eyes which made you laugh,” huening kai changed his costume last minute, said something about how the color didn’t suit him.”
“wait- you guys have a friend that can see color?” you cut in, surprised and yeonjun laughed.
“no, huening kai is just dramatic. can you see color?” you shook your head with a sad smile on your face. “it’s okay, we’re all still young. now let’s go have some fun!” he yelled, pulling beomgyu to the living room where everyone was dancing.
you and soobin decided to wear matching costumes. you being mario and him being luigi, you noticed yeonjun and beomgyu seemed to be matching too but you couldn’t really tell what they had on.
“hey! what are you guys?!” you yelled in beomgyu’s ear.
“harry potter characters! i’m in ravenclaw and yeonjun’s a slytherin!” he answered and then grabbed your hands to make you dance. you started to laugh, enjoying yourself more than you thought you would.
“oh crap! my bad.” you said as you bumped into someone.
“huening kai! taehyun! you’re finally here!” you heard soobin’s voice say. you turned around to see the two other boys and when your eyes locked you saw a green hat? and a red feather? how can you... the boy leaned forward and touched your hat, the same shocked look mirroring yours.
“are you guys okay?!” yeonjun asked.
“your hat is red!” “your hat is green!” you both yelled at the same time.
“i can see color!” you turned to soobin and saw his costume, in all its green glory. you turned to yeonjun and beomgyu, seeing the dark green and blue accents of their robes. you saw the difference in all the boys hair colors. you grabbed your hat and saw how it was bright red now.
“hi, i’m huening kai. or your soulmate.” he laughed nervously. “or peter pan for the night.” he grabbed his hat and tipped it to you and you laughed.
“yn or mario. or your soulmate.” you giggled. huening kai pulled you into a hug, not being able to control his happiness and overall excitement.
“do you want to go outside and get to know each other?” he said in your ear and you nodded.
he pulled you to the backyard and you guys sat by the pool, it was a beautiful clear blue color. you guys talked about everything, about your favorite song and what you’re most excited to see now that you can see color. and what you think your favorite color is now.
“i think my favorite color is green!” you laughed.
“why?” huening kai smiled at you.
“it’s the first color i saw at all. and the first color i saw my soulmate in.” you said as you looked at his basically all green costume. he pushed your shoulder lightly.
“i would say my favorite color is red but i think it’s the color of your eyes.” he said with a wink. you laughed and pushed him, but he wasn’t expecting it and fell into the pool.
“yn! you’re so dead.” you got up and started running, huening kai dripping wet behind you.
