I'm trying to stay awake for at least the next hour and a half aka at least until midnight so that I can congratulate one of my closest friends since it's going to be their birthday. in the meantime, I am once again reminded of how my adhd brain works especially well when it's nighttime... I'm currently working on one of the most self-indulgent queer fics I've ever written - it's about SVT's Hoshi and Woozi, aka Soonhoon in a canon compliant story. this fic is all about figuring out one's identity, in terms of one's own gender and sexuality. it's also about what it means to be raised as a certain gender but to not really feel as if it's the one that fits one's identity. this story is about learning about oneself and about falling in love and of learning to love oneself. of course, this story is also about being a (male) Shawol and how inspiring SHINee are when it comes to breaking stereotypical roles and them challenging the definition of what it means to be a man (aka how one acts, dresses, talks, as someone who is read as male). writing playlist: Horizon - Taemin, Ash - Seventeen, Live Without You - Key, Bring It - Hoshi and Woozi aka Seventeen

He can see the tip of his sparkler at the edge of the photograph and it looks like he's holding a flame. Combined with his pale pink hair, Jihoon didn't look much different to what he envisions a faerie must look like.

Jihoon had never blushed this much in his life. All the boys were all comfy in the living room about to watch a movie ("It'll be fun!" Seungcheol exclaimed) and it was pretty packed. He was just going to sit on the floor, but someone had grabbed his waist and pulled him down onto their lap before he could even blink. He was about to yell till he saw who he was sitting on. Soonyoung grinned at him while wrapping his arms around his waist. Jihoon had never blushed this much in his life.
