There isnt just multiple charcters with disabilities, theres actual representation of how even in a world with magic, the world doesnt accommodate for them because they just forget that theyre there.

I'm currently working on several jwds fics:

- and the one in which Minjung accidentally plays matchmaker for Juwon and Dongsik
Something I wish more heated rivalry fans were aware of is pre season games. More importantly, that Ottawa and Montreal play each other for the pre season. Which means the first Ottawa vs Montreal game after Shane signs with the centaurs is a game that will have zero consequences and will not affect their playoff chances in the long run at all. Ilya Rozanov is spending that entire fucking game in the sin bin
On Writing Teachers
✧ patience forged in chaos and A LOT of caffeine.
✧ voices permanently stuck at “project to the back of the room” volume.
✧ remembering 30 names, faces, and life stories, while no one remembers theirs.
✧ surviving on sticky notes and ungraded papers.
✧ pretending not to care when students call them “mom” or “dad” by accident.
✧ the heartbreak of watching a kid give up on themselves.
✧ being underpaid, overworked, but still showing up.
✧ the emotional whiplash of caring too much.
✧ becoming the adult they once needed.

...so, I've figured out which ship this could be about: Joowon as the stylist and Dongsik as the other sex shop customer while Gaon is the idol - and Yohan is there, too, obviously but I don't know which role he would have... and of course a romcom with bdsm themes is the fic I'd write as my first Beyond Evil and The Devil Judge crossover... is anyone even still surprised.
Joowon would be so flustered and Dongsik would be delighted. I wonder how far this would go before Joowon thinks he finally has to admit he's never even been with anyone (at least not in the way Dongsik thinks)... seriously though, I cannot get the idea of idol!Gaon with a Taemin-style Catholic Guilt meets Queer and Kink Awakening kind of concept out of my head... and a prettily blushing Yoowon who is so, so into the hot older guy who, whenever they meet up for coffee, keeps looking at him as if he wants to be put in those very handcuffs that got Yoowon into this whole mess... and why, when one random day when they end up in Yoowon's flat together, is Dongsik pulling out a certain kind of contract and wow, okay, it's perhaps a good thing Joowon did lots and lots of research... does this still count as part of his job though? he seriously doubts it does but he doesn't care at all anymore...

If I had a nickle for every time there’s a South Korean show where the close relative of a murder victim gets (subtly or not so subtly homoerotically) involved with the son of the man who (supposedly) murdered said close relative, which starts with mutual dislike as work partners where one even initially wants to punish the other for what happened in the past only for this distrust to turn into devotion and the willingness to literally die for the other, with people eventually commenting on how these two work partners behave around one another as if they were a couple, I'd have two nickels... which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice

Bite me, Han Juwon. Bite me, bite the case, bite Kang Jinmuk. I will find Yuyeon, find Han Jeongim, and return the missing people to the families who are waiting for them. Until then, you mustn't give up on me. The day I hear from Kang Jinmuk where they are, the day we get everyone back, you can handcuff me yourself. I will pay the price for touching Minjeong-ie’s corpse and the price for neglecting the moment when our Minjeong-ie might have still been alive. ‘I’m not going to turn myself in. I don’t want a reduced sentence. Handcuff me yourself with your own hands.’ ‘Of course. Don’t forget that promise, Sergeant Lee Dongsik.’ The case wasn’t over. So don’t give up on me until this is all over, Inspector Han. And don’t give up on yourself. Even if your father, the Deputy Commissioner of the National Police Agency of Korea, is a terrible criminal, even if he is a shameless man who sold his son and dead wife, don’t become a monster Inspector Han Juwon. Don’t be like me. Juwon-ah.
These particular lines stole my breath away, because it's such a heartrending insight to the desperate hope Dongsik had for Joowon to finally be the answer to the justice he's been seeking all these years.
Joowon, against all odds, truly has become a beacon of hope to Dongsik—the only one he can rely on, the only one he can desperately hold on to, the only one he can believe in.
And there's something almost tenderly, sweetly naive amidst this desperate hope—a seemingly unfounded belief that Joowon isn't like the others. That here, finally, is a good man that Dongsik can trust.
And the thing is—Dongsik has no concrete reason to have that trust on Joowon, not just yet, not until Joowon has continuously proven him right to believe in him.
All in all, with how tremendously unfortunate Dongsik's life has become because of the monsters surrounding him, he had that one lucky streak in trusting in Joowon.
Because what if Joowon had been exactly like his father—only worse? Because unlike Han Kihwan, Han Joowon is not a coward. With a bravery like that, had Joowon's morals been just as corrupt as his father (as Joowon consistently masqueraded as a guise in playing his own father until the end), and an intellect like that—Dongsik could've easily trusted the wrong person.
Yet somehow, Dongsik was right.
After everything he had been wrong about his whole life—this, trusting, Han Joowon—
Dongsik was finally right.

Minjeong saving her name in Dongsik's phone as his eternal love and Sangbae saving Dongsik's name in his own phone as his dearest is such a heartbreaking layer to the way their stories are linked to his. he became their chief mourner, neither of them were connected to him by blood or law, he inherited both of their houses, he caught both of their murderers, he came so close to saving both but couldn't save either. the way the love wasn't silent even in life, it was always there in a contact name, and it continued after death in him. he loved them, and they loved him, and that love is what gave Dongsik the right to be their family beyond anything else.
