The moment I knew I was completely screwed.

The night before Hari left, he asked to see my books and we started taking turns reading out loud to each other. 

We went from laughing over the essays in Mindy Kaling’s “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?” to analyzing Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven” line by line, to me explaining in explicit detail the plot of the Percy Jackson books while he listened attentively and asked questions.

Bonus moment: When he asked if it bothered me that he doesn’t read as much as I do. I said, “No. As long as you’re willing to listen to me when I’m excited and emotional about a book and want to tell you all about it. It’s not like I’d ask you to read a book with me and discuss it chapter by chapter.” His reply? “I would love to do that!”
