i just love him saur much.. idk how i got to this point but i think it was the "taste" sootfur pmv that started it.. but i think he's so complicated and interesting and its the spite that people think hes JUST a shitty dad is what drove me to unhealthily loving him

like bro :( his baby sisters died from starvation and his brother died from trying to feed said starving sisters? and he was explicitly mentioned to not be mentally ready for kits, im definitely not defending him on that but the way he runs away as a mechanism at least makes sense other than him HATING them like rainflower who i see be compared to him

like?? excuse me no?? she verbally and emotionally ABUSED her child, spider just didn't wanted kits in the first place and twigbranch wasnt ready for kits, thats understandable, and its not like spider was absent absolutely from his kits he literally ends up coming around

okay rant over and back to hyperfixation talk, i really like the idea of him kinda distancing from daisy because of dustpelt (his dad), sootfur (his bff (best boyfriend)) and mousefur's (his mentor) distaste in outsiders, i will project onto him when i say his opinions will sway depending on others opinions because he (me) is just ill like that <3

i also think spider would be in a qpr with daisy instead, they would be besties without romantic relations like?? they would gossip behind everyones back?? they would co admin a thunderclan gossip account 100% they would be the epitome of nblm🤝nblw solidarity. daisy would be mostly there for their kits when in the nursery and i think spider would be mostly the one there for them during apprenticeship, goes for both daisy litters i just think that they <3

also i feel like the squirrel, shrew, spider trio is heavily under appreciated, they are literally the og apprentice gang's second generation. they should be more iconic?? would also give the leaf spider intervention more depth ig?? considering they were kinda kithood friends?? TLDR; they are my comfort characters and i love them

I was just introduced to the ship of Sootfur x Spiderleg by this awesome PMV by Fallowhollow and I had to draw some ship art! I just think these two are so cute together :)

I discovered Sootfur x Spiderleg from you (I'm not sure if you started it or not) and I'm in love. I personally headcanon that Spiderleg had a huge crush on Sootfur, which was, to say the least, pretty obvious. Spiderleg told him about his crush so that Sootfur didn't have to keep questioning if he actually did or not. They were still close friends, but Sootfur didn't feel the same way towards Spiderleg, who felt like he wasn't ready for a relationship anyway. (1/3)

After a little while, though, Sootfur realized he did have feelings for Spiderleg. He asked him to be his mate, but he said he still wasn't sure if he wanted to be in a relationship. Spiderleg was finally about ready to become Sootfur's mate when he died. Because of this, he rushed into a relationship with Daisy. As soon as he *thought* he had feelings for her, he asked her to be his mate. She didn't know him very well and thought he was cute, so she accepted. 

He didn't realize he only cared for her as a clanmate and/or friend until she was already expecting his kits
