Biography (please take the bullets and expand on them in 2-3 paragraphs):
From early childhood, Anna knew she was destined for greatness. The stars of Hollywood enchanted her with their flawless makeup and limitless riches, and whilst their lives were a world away from her own for now, she knew it would not be long before she joined them on the screen. Acting was her one true love, and she soon came to realise that in order to achieve her dream, she would need to leave not only her village behind, but her country too. Anna excelled in English and the Arts at school, performing in plays and taking singing lessons, more determined than ever to make it on the world stage.
The website was, in her opinion, a stroke of genius. She’d find a lonely, preferably impotent old man, and take him for all he had. A home, financial support, and most crucially of all, citizenship in America - the land of opportunity. When Todd, an overweight, ageing bachelor from the State of New York took an interest in her, Anna relished the opportunity to put her acting skills to use and lavished him with compliments, gushing in deliberately broken English about her desire to see America and her dream of being a devoted housewife. He was polite, and although by no means attractive, he seemed genuine, or at least less lecherous than the others. When he offered to fly to Bucharest and meet her, Anna eagerly agreed boarded the first train to the Capital with intent to seduce her husband to be. Todd offered few details about himself, but Anna didn’t care. The specifics were of little consequence: their partnership wouldn’t last long, and was a small price to pay for her dreams. What mattered was his nationality and apparent wealth, judging by his willingness to fly.
Anna was snatched as she took a back street shortcut on her way to their arranged meeting point, leaving behind a devastated family she had promised to provide for. Upon waking up in her cell and realising her new circumstances, Anna has elected to maintain the illusion of being a naïve, young bride-to-be, feigning a lack of English skills whilst she continues to assess the situation. Whilst being trapped behind bars has left her disheartened, the abundance of wealthy, beautiful people here gives her hope: given time, perhaps one of them could serve as her new, more appealing ‘Todd’.
