So I've been doing a lot of research and have mostly come up empty handed... Do people get holo stickers printed as is or do they have the stickers printed first then add the adheasive film for the glitter or broken crystal effects? And if it's the latter, then how do they go about trimming the unused film away? I'm getting a bit frustrated with how secretive people are with this sort of thing. SOS please help.

Nattosoup: Ok, disclaimer- I have very little experience with holo stickers, because I dislike the pricepoint/work ratio.

That said, it really varies! There are artists with Cricuts who make all their stickers at home, and apply a holo film before trimming on the machine. I believe you can find holo films on Etsy if you search for Holographic Film, and probably nail art supplies. You might also be able to find it on Amazon or AliExpress. You can also get holo contact paper, which is like super sturdy sticker paper, from Hobby Lobby, and apply and cut by hand (this can be fiddly). And there are places, like Catprints, that will print and apply the holo for you, although I don’t know if they do stickers.
